Hotel City is in a fantastic location. 5 min walk to Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Amazing high end department store directly opposite. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good; espresso, juices, yogurt and bakery. Room was exceptionally clean. The historic elements of the hotel were very interesting. You definitely feel like you’re in Roma.
Our Family room was great for the price, so no complaints generally; I didn’t realise though, that there weren’t really any windows (2 small very high up and 1 in bathroom). We were only there for 2 nights, and not in the room much, so weren’t too bothered, but I expect if you were there for longer, it might be an issue :)
The bed where comfy yes and the location is in the nearby of most of the monuments and tourist interests.
The wifi in our room was very poor and the breakfast as well .
This hotel was very convenient. Very close to Spanish steps, easy to get to all the main tourist spots- especially if you like to walk the city as we do. Staff was generally warm and helpful, made taxi reservations and a dinner reservation for us. Our quadruple room was a bit tight for all of us so might consider two rooms if you have 4 people.
The beds were not very comfortable, harder mattresses on a cot like frame. They weren't terrible but by no means inviting. We stayed during a particularly hot July and had a room with a loft to accommodate our two kids and us. The room was quite tight for all of us. Looked bigger in the pictures. Not that surprising. A/C worked hard to keep two levels cool at night, the main areas of the hotel were definitely warm. If you don't manage stairs well, don't book here. You have to walk up a couple flights to get to entrance. The old style elevator was being worked on the entire time we were there so maybe it normally works?? It wasn't a big deal for us but if you have lots of heavy luggage and bad knees, be careful.
Very close to the Spagna metro station and other attractions, clean rooms, breakfast not strong but enough
Great location. Helpful staff.
