Our charming room, the delightful, delicious breakfast on the patio, the art everywhere, the tropical gardens, walking distance to an art museum, the lovely vibe of the neighborhood and most, the warmth of the proprietors.
Nothing to not like
Quiet location, wonderful hosts (Guido and Francisco, and Blanca), delicious breakfast with freshly squeezed fruit juices. The house and garden are exceptionally beautiful and restored.
Using the television was a little bit tricky but we were able to figure it out! The house is gorgeous, however sound traveled easily within the rooms.
Guido and Fransisco are absolutely great! We felt welcome and looked after. The house is gorgeous and is set in a very nice part of Santa Teresa - with incredible views of Sugar Loaf and on a clear day Christ the Redeemer. The house is cleaned to a high standard every day and Guido and Fransisco are always around to help with any questions you might have. The breakfast in the garden is just special. A very personal touch on the food - and it really made our stay. Absolutely recommend!
A real gem of a guest house in a beautifully tranquil part of Santa Teresa, above Rio city centre. The 1930s house, elegant rooms, lush gardens and period decor are wonderful - but best of all are the hosts Chico and Guido who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They provide a delicious outdoor breakfast each morning, and offer advice on places to see (and not to see!), and offer a wealth of experience of the city. A welcoming oasis of calm amidst the hustle of the city below. Highly recommended.
