Well run hotel
Staff were very helpful and friendly. As a single woman, I found it a pleasant and safe environment. Nice area of Riga with park opposite. Although not in Old Town, I found that a bonus as not overrun with tourists outside.
Not so much what I didn't like, but just that large tour groups do stay here and one morning at breakfast over two hundred Americans. Staff worked very hard to keep supply of food going and tables cleared. I was here for six nights and this only happened one morning.
Very clean and cosy. Magnificent breakfast. Fast room service. I surely recommend this one because it's a great buy for this money. Minor thing - if you stay not alone in the room there would be some privacy matters because bathroom has a glassdoor.
There were no booking.com reservation when I arrived, but I was lucky they had room I wanted and I showed them my confirmation so everything worked out great. Parking cost me 18$ for the night and at the morning park-machine didn't take my card, which I used minute ago to pay for the room, so I had to come back at the reception.
Poor breakfast, room service not ip to the level, ot really right in the very center, takes a walk (on a rainy weather doesn't seem to be so near from the main sightseeing)
I liked the location of the hotel. It was easy to explore the centre of Riga on foot from this hotel.
I found my room rather small and the bathroom with its bright lighting rather intrusive.
breakfast, room and staff
no pool- having to pay to use the pool at the sister hotel
Very nice location
Everything was excellent.
We booked twin standard room but asked for double and they provided us with better double bedroom at the same price as twin. The interior and exterior design of the hotel is very good, the atmosphere is nice, the barman at the bar is great - he makes better cocktails than at Sky line bar! The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom was always clean. We spent 10 days at this hotel and never had any troubles. The breakfast is very good with big variety of various kinds of food. Despite the hotel was full at the time we were there we never heard any sounds from neigbours.
It was a little bit dusty in the room (shelves, table), so it should be better cleaned. Otherwise everything is perfect!
Horrible coffee: after two weeks travelling the Baltics this was the worst.
The staff were all excellent and were keen to help at all times and spoke English. The breakfast was very good.
Nice looking rooms, good and helpfull staff
Paper thin walls, you can heer every sound from all the rooms around you. Had 2 very bad nights' sleep
