We have to stay this was the best stay we had in our 2 weeks trip. The sphere of this hotel is great. You can sense the love where the hotel is built with. Great staff and amazing location.
I've driven passed this property lots of times but never been able to stop, so this trip, I made sure it was on our itinerary. Check in was really easy, as was getting our bags to our room. The room was lovely, but if we'd been staying during the Summer, I could see how the lack of A/C would be an issue. Also found the lighting to be a little dark, but that's a preference thing. Don't go here expecting to watch TV. Only 8 stations and all of them fuzzy, except for the out-dated promo DVD that plays on a loop. Overall, we'd totally stay here again.
The shower pressure in the morning was a LOT to be desired. We know for next time to shower in the evening to avoid the lack of pressure and the changing water temperature.
I loved the Chateau, this history of the building and the family. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was an adventure in itself, it was kind of creepy but that was part of its charm for sure, we loved exploring the halls, admiring the antiques and decor! Rooms and hotel were super clean inside, beds were comfortable, hot tub and pool were just right. Food was very good! Loved that there is a gift shop on sight and so much to do right there! The property is beautiful. The ghost town was most impressive - the whole place is impressive!!
I didn't like that there wasn't a lounge (sometimes just nice to have a night cap before bed, I also didn't like that room service was not an option. We went the last weekend of the season so a few areas were already shutdown or getting ready to be shutdown, some parts of the ghost town were closed or "under construction" so that was a bit disappointing.
This place has such great history!! It’s such a lovely place to stay!
There’s nothing about this place I didn’t like.
The grounds were beautiful and the massage chairs was n the lobby were fantastic. The food was good too.
The lack of WiFi in the rooms and the darkness of the rooms
