It was great.
the afternoon snacks.
The hotel is in the center of Reno and offers access to everything, from restaurants to shopping. If you have the outdoors type, the second floor is dedicated to climbing, which is totally cool. The hotel is close to the Truckee River and the river walk.
The sauna and spa area was an after thought and not the focus of the hotel. There is no pool so don't expect a refreshing jacuzzi and some pool time.
Bed is comfy, restaurant serves great food and the staff is very friendly!
No onsite parking but we knew that
Beds were comfortable. Location was great to the Reno Casinos. Front desk staff was very kind.
No complaints. Great overall stay and experience at this hotel.
All that said, I slept well until 830, the room service food was decent, the room is a good size, mini fridge works great, and it doesn't smell like smoke. The 75$ pet fee for one night is ridiculous, but it's a one time fee, so if you're staying multiple nights it's more reasonable.
This hotel bills itself as an alternative to the standard Reno casino options, but it is surrounded, so the noise is pretty bad. Street concerts on multiple sides of the property (but the city does shut it all down at 11pm). My room ac unit was unimpressive. Tucked in a corner, it couldn't cool the room effectively. It ran full blast from the time I checked in to check out, about twelve hours overnight, and only dropped three degrees (70 to 67) according to the thermostat. Maintenance did try to give it some oomph, but then they returned at 830 am banging on my door and letting themselves in to look at it because "they thought I wasn't there" despite the do not disturb sign. When they saw I was there, they still tried to come in and work, I had to ask them to leave even though they had clearly woken me up.
The Whiteney Peak Hotel offers something unique compared to other hotels in the Reno area. It is the only non-gaming, non-smoking, independent hotel in the Reno area. It is perfect for business or leisure travelers seeking a quiet, ambient stay in Reno.
The stunning high-rise hotel offers a plethora of accommodation options, including king rooms, spacious suites, and club rooms. All accommodations offer free high-speed wifi, flat screen televisions, coffee makers, mini fridges, microwaves, plush bedding, spacious bathrooms, custom bath products, modern decor, and air-conditioning. The 16th floor boasts ultra-chic suites with spacious living room areas and bars. All club rooms and suites include access to a premium lounge with complimentary breakfast, snacks, and drinks. All rooms are pet and kid-friendly. Laundry service and room service is available.
The hotel has an all-inclusive option available for guests. A 24/7 gym is fully-equipped with free weights, cardio machines, and exercise equipment. There is also a rock climbing center with a kids’ wall. An airport shuttle is available for airport transfers. Business travelers can utilize the onsite business center which holds space for meetings, conferences, and corporate events.
The onsite farm-to-table restaurant, Roundabout Grille, offers an impressive seasonally changing menu of upscale fare. A wide range of American classics are created with fresh, natural, high-quality ingredients. Some menu offerings include grapefruit & beet salad, tuna poke, hanger steak, and more. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and happy hour.
