The hotel is ideally located for AWE with ample parking. The food was Reasonably priced and of a good standard
The rooms are a little tired and could benefit from an upgrade
Staff were nice
Rooms were outdated Hotel could do with a refresh Noise in bathroom from the taps
The mattress was very hard but I liked the large size of the bed. No plug next to bed to charge phone. A USB point would be a great likable asset. Would have liked hot chocolate sachets. Why don't hotels put a couple of hooks next to bed to hang handbags or cardigans etc? Instead, everything has to go on the floor.
Food in the pub was very basic. The red wine sauce looked and tasted like Bisto gravy. The Pie looked like it had just come out of the freezer and chucked in the convector oven and the veg was obviously frozen instead of fresh. What's wrong with putting one crisp fresh veg on the plate (like broccoli)? It would help the overall vibe of the food, as if an effort had been made.
No hot water for a shower
Clean and tidy rooms with all the essentials.
