Pros: Amazing place which gives you a feeling that you are in the middle of a jungle (it's within a walking distance from the city center). Clean and spacious rooms with big and amazing terraces. Rooms are located in several buildings which makes it less crowded than normal hotels. There is a nice pool with space to chill and enjoy your time as well as a games room with billiards, table football and some stuff for kids. Stuff is very helpful and the true star is the restaurant - AMAZING FOOD!

Pros: A small complex but the room was huge! The balcony look onto the trees and there’s constant sound of water flowing into the Iguazu River and birds tweeting. The bathroom had both shower and jacuzzi bath tub which overlooks trees outside. The staff are extremely helpful. The restaurant is one of the best in town and was full even on weekdays. The food was of fine dining quality but didn’t come with the expensive price tag, very good value for money. Breakfast selection was good too.

Pros: Iguazu Jungle Lodge was fantastic! Unfortunately, we were only able to stay in Iguazu for 24 hours, but we made sure to waste no time. We arrived at Iguazu Jungle Lodge in the evening, and ate a fantastic dinner at their onsite restaurant. In the morning, the hotel arranged for taxi services to and from the falls, and stored our luggage. We returned to the hotel around 15:00 to take advantage of the pool, before flying out in the evening. The staff was exceptionally welcoming, and friendly. Our room was upgraded to a suite which was very large, and immaculately clean. I would highly recommend this place to anyone travelling to Iguazu.

Pros: Upon check in we were asked about our plans for the next day. In the Lobby there is a travel agent who helped us plan our short but packed next day which involved a taxi to the Park, a morning boat ride within the park (which we hadn't yet booked), then getting picked up with our luggage at 2 PM and going directly to the airport. The remise driver was prompt and very nice, and the personalized rides saved us from having to check luggage in the park (again) and was overall cheaper than 2 taxi rides and luggage storage. Very convenient. Our room was brand new, modern and immaculate with a balcony, tub, shower and comfortable bed (we were in one of the Loft rooms. Ask for a higher floor for a better view of the river). The pool is huge and very clean. There are twice daily talks from a local professor/naturalist at the lodge. We were sorry we missed it. After a hectic day seeing the Brazilian side of the falls, the bird park, and the Devil's Throat from the Argentina side, we ate in the restaurant there. I wasn't expecting much, but it was the best meal I had on our trip. The menu is quite European, with pastas and fish, in addition to steak. I had the porcini mushroom pasta which was outstanding. I am still thinking about it. We saw many dining parties arriving by taxi, so it is also popular with non-guests. We were so happy we didn't have to go on the internet and try to arrange our next day (in Spanish). Having everything taken care of for us, and knowing the up front cost, was so helpful and allowed us to just enjoy our dinner and evening. Many thanks.

Pros: Very large renovated and comfortable room with balcony with 2 queen size beds. Convenient location : 10 to 15 mns walk to downtown which means you can easily go out in the evening (the last part of the road is not in good condition but it’s fine and completely secure at night) Large pool and well trimmed garden Good advices on how to reach the falls

Pros: Located just across the border, in a woodland providing a tranquil environment that is not overlooked by any other building. The staff were welcoming and very friendly and the customer service desk were extremely helpful. The room spacious and modern (just remember to pack an argentinian power adapter). The pool and pool surroundings were large and never seem over crowded. The breakfast was excellent, with both hot and cold options, a real 4 star service. On the evening we decided to dine in, which was included in the rate, was exceptional, a BBQ of fresh meats, sausages and grilled vegetables. The photos on the site do not do this hotel justice, it looks dated and is far from that.

Pros: Lovely setting with unique 'suspension bridge' walkways to rooms. Pool area beautiful. Flora and fauna of jungle all around.
Cons: Service in restaurant terrible especially considering price for dinner was double that in town. Slow and disorganised. Bar was even worse, we saw some people wait for 30 mins to get a drink! Hard to get anywhere without a car, need to book a cab / driver every time. Information about transport, facilities etc is not clearly spelled out at check in so you need to ask lots of questions to find anything out.

Pros: Beautiful surroundings, and a grand pool area. Breakfast with lots of choice. Loved the wooden walking bridges between the different building!
Cons: Nothing, really.

Our jungle experience was unfortunately ruined by loud techno music on 2 of our 3 nights stay coming from across the river and lasting until 7am, we had to use earplugs...
Cons: This place needs some serious improvements in management to claim its five stars: - Cold welcome if existent at all, sent to our room after giving cc details with no welcome drink (although there were some ready), no explanation about facilities or activities, and no apologies for the failed airport pickup (poor email and direct communication with Natalia the manager despite several attempts) - A part from a few exceptions, staff efficiency and proactivity was generally lacking: slow to bring menus, to take orders they often got wrong or had to be reminded, making waiting times annoyingly long. - Quality of the food in general was very average - Some basic amenities were lacking such as locks on toilets in main area (!)

Pros: Besides what we stated, everything was perfect. Beautiful swimming pools and the dinner was very delicious. The room was very spacious and clean.
Cons: We booked a taxi from Iguaz Falls and waited for 45min as the Taxi driver was waiting for the different person as they misheard our room number. Considering we called the hotel several times, they did not seem to do anything. We ended up speaking to the driver who was standing there for such a long time with different name of the guests. The receptionist later apologised when we asked. They thought our room number was 424 not 404. After calling twice from Iguazu Falls, we would have thought she would do something.

Pros: The hotel has really nice swimming pool area, nice garden and pool bar with very friendly staff. Restaurant food was also very tasty and affordable. And thats all about positive aspects.
Cons: This is not really 5 stars hotel. We had big expectations coming there, we left disappointed. The service staff is not well trained and it’s hotels fault. The room we got the first night was really old and dirty, next day we got upgraded to better room but to be honest, that should be normal room in 5 stars hotel. They have some problems with housekeeping, also restaurant and bar staff don’t seem happy at work which makes atmosphere a bit strange. If you can just take some other 5 stars hotel in Iguazu if you want to have relax time.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The chocolate volcano dessert!
Cons: The service in the restaurant & bar is pretty poor
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved everything!! The hotel and rooms designed with good taste, very comfortable and the view from the window is like an amazing jungle! The pool is stunning and it's fun to take a day and drink cocktails near the pool :) All the staff were helpful and nice and the breakfast is very good!
Cons: The only thing that was a little disturbing is the ants that showed in our room. It's obvious that we're sleeping in a jungle and there are a lot of bugs near by but the room should be sprayed against it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very well laid out property with size-able rooms, a helpful front desk (even in English), and surprising comfort for the Iguazu Falls area.
Cons: The included breakfast was good but dinner could have been better for the price.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice facilities incl the pool
Cons: Poor service, poor breakfast
7.5 Good
Pros: - peaceful place - pool in jungle
Cons: - simple breakfast with not many choices - no free water served in room -Flys in restaurant disturbing my lunch - water pressure in shower not enough
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, swimming pool, massive bed and the taxi driver!
Cons: Shower was not great. Service in restaurant was very slow - often 20 mins to get a drink after we had ordered - we used it most nights and they were consistently slow for both food and drink.

Pros: Located directly across from the bus station In the centre of the town Good selection of food at breakfast The staff booked us a taxi to the airport which we are very grateful for
Cons: Our room wasn’t very clean- the curtains were filthy and there was just very little effort made with the upkeep of the rooms while having a really nicely kept lounge area and entrance Emailed a few days before our stay and asked for an upper story room but were given a room on the 2nd floor when they had 9 floors of rooms. Very expensive for the quality of the hotel but you’re paying for location
7.0 Good
Pros: Modern facilities in the hotel. Close to everything, swimming pool, bar, comfortable room, quiet aircon. Restaurant on site. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful and provided me with gluten free pastries and muffins for breakfast.
Cons: It was a busy long weekend during our stay. Unfortunately our room was an adjoining room and next door was a family with a child who cried a lot. We are a couple and asked to change rooms. The property could not change our room. Didn't check either. They called the family about our complaint and they were quieter but you could hear everything through the adjoining door.

Pros: The pool.
Cons: Pretty much everything. It's supposed to be a 4.5/5 star hotel. Michelin rate chef. The food was barely basic. The staff was uncooperative. They failed to tell me that breakfast was included with my room rate. Never ate breakfast the 4 days I was there. My king bed was two singles put together. One higher than the other. Listed as having a tour test and concierge. Neither available. Shuttle to town? Nonexistent. Unless it was for Spanish speaking guests only. The best is I booked a 50 minutes massage and barely got 40. I mentioned it to the masseuse and she pretended she didn't understand. What else? Asked for ice with my warm Coca Cola and they said no. Funny the bottles of beer in a bucket for the other guests got a lot of ice. I believe it was the fact that I'm American and don't speak Spanish that I was ignored. Puerto Iguazu is pretty much a tourist town yet they have no customer service. Never ever going back.

Cons: The rooms do not have an electric outlet close to the bed, they are all on the opposite side; which is a bit inconvenient when trying to charge your smartphone during the night. Also, the restaurant has very limited options for vegetarians and none if you are vegan. Pros: It was much closer to the airport and the national park than previous reviews had led me to think. The hotel was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable room and great air con, which was important as it was 37degrees when we arrived. The taxi service in the hotel was amazing, taking us to an from the park on the Argentine side for 700peso and the Brazilian side for 1500peso. After full days of trekking through the park and experiencing the falls from all sides we were too tired to notice if the sound proofing wasn’t great. Out like a light both nights and very well rested for the next day.

Cons: The food in the restaurant wasn’t the best, but for what you are paying it was perfectly acceptable.

Pros:
Cons: I would STAY AWAY from this hotel at all costs. Do not be fooled by the "4 star" rating or the photos.
On our first day, we asked the front desk where we can exchange currency and how we can get from the hotel to Iguazu Falls. The front desk pointed us over to a table they have set up in the lobby with looked organized with brochures and a man sitting there ready to "help" you. We had been exchanging 1 USD for 15 Pesos for the past week in Buenos Aires. He assured us that in Iguazu, the standard rate was 1USD for 14 pesos. We were skeptical but we needed cash for our day in Iguazu. He also told us that the only way to get to Iguazu Falls was by taxi, which cost 350 pesos.
We took his word for it since he worked inside the hotel lobby, and later found out that we could have took a bus instead for only 80 pesos! Also, as soon as we got to the park we saw a sign that had exchange rates at 1USD for 15 pesos!! We confronted him about both of these things the next day and he got nervous and pretended he didn't know otherwise. What a PETTY CROOK, skimming a few extra bucks from hotel guests.
In addition, the hotel room and hallway had a chemical smell to it, the breakfast was a bunch of cheap bread and cheese, we checked the air conditioner filters and they looked like they have not been changed in years, I can go on and on. The front desk would not give us the crook's name later on when we asked.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Pros: Dinner is so delicious and cheap, it has a value to try. Swimming pool, spa and jakuji is so good. I enjoyed swimming all day.
Cons: In the room, there is a shampoo dispensor. We cannot noticed what is it. Shampoo... conditioner... cream...

Pros: facilities, staff, help with transportation and tickets
Cons: Pictures suggested if it were deeper in the jungle

Pros: Like most visitors, I traveled to Puerto Iguazú to visit the spectactular national park surrounding the falls. Hotel Exe Cataratas was a few miles from the park entrance but transportation was easily arranged -- they'll call you a cab or you can take the AR$50 (~US$3.50) Rio Uruguay buses, which pick up and drop off less than a block from the hotel.
In contrast to the hotel staff I met in the federal capital, the staff at Hotel Cataratas were warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. My room was clean and large and comfortable, and the pool was a much-appreciated bonus when I wandered home exhausted after each day of exploring the park's trails.
The hotel is neither in town nor in the park, but in-between (about 3/4 mile outside of town on the main road which connects the two) and while better food options are available in town, has acceptable hot food service (both buffet and a la carte) for visitors who are too tired at the end of the day to go exploring for dinner.
WiFi worked better than the hotels at which I stayed in Buenos Aires. And after boxes in other hotels that barely chilled their contents at all, I was overjoyed to have a real working mini-fridge in my room and a bar where the staff would give me ice in the evenings so I could enjoy a cold drink while I remembered the day's adventures.

Cons: Public areas (beyond lobby/restaurant) are falling apart. There was water leaking through hallway ceilings (and even it’s light fixtures) when it rained. (Thank goodness room didn’t leak!). Mattresses were possibly worst condition we’ve seen in 8 weeks of South America travel - super bouncy and bumpy. Room smelled a bit dank (better with a/c) on. Carpet is in terrible condition in hallways - ripped, Stained (though saw them cleaning) and just old old old. Seemed VERY expensive for condition of halls, beds, etc.

Pros: The pool was the only thing we liked about the whole place Clean & refreshing after a big day walking Great family environment around the pool area
Cons: The rooms smelled musty and damp The carpet was in a disgusting state lifting in places and had mould in places Nobody to welcome us except staff at the front door who were smoking Our rooms were not ready when we arrived we had to wait for a portacot which we had prebooked The building and rooms are very dated and the photos on your site do not reflect the true state of this place The service in the restaurant was non existent and when some of our party ordered room service they had to go down to the restaurant to order??? Then took ages to actually be delivered Checking out was a long and tedious process, nothing computerised all hand written notes Tried to charge us for items in the mini bar that had not been restocked!

Pros: Lots of options to spend free time in the hotel. Helpful people at the lobby. The spa with jacuzzi was the perfect way to chill after the day in the park :) The food was very good with lots of options to choose from
Cons: IThe localisation was not perfect, far from both park and city center, but the bus stop was near and you could always get a taxi Waiters could have been more proactive Sauna wasnt working properly
4.2 Okay
Pros: Maybe the breakfast?
Cons: The hotel seems to be 5 start but it is not even 3. Poor renovations...leaks in several parts of the hotel. Facilities were not well maintained ( steam room was not working, the jacuzzi and warm pool were dirty and also the pool needs to be painted as it is missing some colour on the floor). Carpets throughout the hotel were old, wet, broke and smelly. Duvets/bedspreads in the room were dirty...with spots and super old fashioned.

Cons: Some of the facilities in the hotel are getting a bit run down -- it's an older property and it's in a harsh place -- but except for weak water pressure in my shower, my visit wasn't adversely affected by the aging of the property. Visitors expecting a shiny modern boutique hotel have other options to choose from -- but they're going to miss the friendly staff and comfortable rooms that made Hotel Exe Cataratas a winner in my book.

Pros: Location in the city center, close to the bus terminal. Good breakfast.
Cons: Large hotel with huge rotation of guests. Poor standard, outdated and ran-down room and equipment, Toilet flush didn't work. For short accommodation (up to for 2 nights) can be accepted with its price. For longer stay, I recommend to find the other option.

Pros: The Location was very close to the main center and bus station so very convenient. however that was the only thing going or it.
Cons: The breakfast was not very good and very repetitive. the dinner consisted of raw carrots and instant ravioli followed by also perhaps instant pudding. the only facilities in the bathroom was a bar of soap and when i asked about shampoo i was told i could not even buy it and had to go out in the rain to buy some from the corner shop. Also on the third night had a 3 hours wait just to get a hair dryer which kind of messed up my evening.

Pros: The location is a 5min walk to the main bus terminal, some restaurants and shopping, and the hummingbird sanctuary is around the corner. There was a swimming pool, which some other places do not have. The room was comfortable, and cleaned daily.
Cons: The room we had (room 2) is located directly behind the front desk, so is the first room after going through the doors. The doors make a noise when opened, and since people are coming and going from 5am to after midnight, its hard to get decent sleep. There were numerous power failures in the town, and there is emergency lighting that turns ON during this period. The emergency light inside our room has NO switch to turn it off. During a power failure in the middle of the night, the light turns on, and cannot be turned off. We did ask a staff member to turn it off, but they were also unable to find the switch in the room. The room was completely filled with a lot of mosquitoes when we arrived, possibly due to the door being left open before arrival. A mosquito net should be added since it is really a problem there. The breakfast is poor, it is a buffet with mainly dry cakes and stale bread rolls, bread shaped like croissants, some ham, slices of cheese, jams, cereal, yogurt, and fruit juices.
