Room is cleaned every day. It's not very modern but still ok to stay for a few days. Breakfasts are good and sufficient. Personel is very kind and helpful. Fridge and kettle are available in the room.
Hotel is a little old and could be renovated. Distance from city center is about 30 minutes walk.
Hotel looked uninspiring from outside. Typical of the narrow terrace houses so rooms are long and thin. however inside was spotless and tasteful. The bus to Porto stops outside the hotel. Breakfast was excellent and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Room had kettle and coffee facilities and a fridge. Good lighting above mirror for shaving etc and large shower.
Tiny washbasin without a plug. Useless.
Breakfast was ok plenty of Bread rolls and cheese always topped up. Tea plenty. Other choices a little limited but typical continental breakfast. Staff were great and very friendly. Tea and coffee making machine. Bathroom was well equipped. Shower hairdryer etc. Car parking is directly opposite the place. The room was fine for the two of us although we had asked for twin beds it was a double however they rectified this by putting another single bed in the room. This made it a little cramped but was fine for 3 days.
The place looks tired from the outside. 15 -20 minutes straight walk into town. Which was fine for us but might be a bit much for those not used to walking although buses are reasonably easy.
Staff worked hard to make the stay enjoyable Fairly handy to downtown, but it is a long walk. Did it 2x in 2 days.
The property has a very nice atmosphere and our room was clean and comfortable. The shower was very nice and there was also a kettle and a coffee machine, very useful for us. We also had direct access from the room to the common terrace. The staff is lovely, super friendly, helpful and always smiling. Breakfast was great: coffee/tea, milk, pastries, bread, jam, butter, yogurts, cereals, cream cheese, slices of ham and cheese, juice... Seriously, it was very good! We really recommend to stay here for your trip to Porto. It's 30 minutes walking from the centre, but there is a bus stop at 1 minute walking from the property. It's also possible to park your car in a garage right in front at the guesthouse for a very reasonable price. In the city centre a parking spot costs much more.
