The staff was very accommodating even though the hotel doesn't have a "front desk". Also, it was described well online so I knew what to expect.
The air conditioning controls wouldn't allow to go below 70.
This was an interesting old hotel/boarding house above a long standing bar/saloon. I chose this place because it was a quick and easy drive to the airport from downtown and the place was a good value.
Parking is available, if not in their small lot then on the streets nearby... but it’s not a 100% secure area for vehicles. The shared bathrooms and showers were clean and adequate, the bedrooms are nice but the bed is not the most comfortable. I would consider staying here again especially if they had more comfortable beds. The air conditioning worked well and the street noise was minimal. The staff was super friendly and it was a bonus to watch a little music in the pub before I went to bed. They need to install little card holders next to the door handle so that if you go to the bathroom in the middle of the night you don’t get locked out of your room.
It was quirky and reminded me of Europe . The food in the bar was good.
The room was very small
Good value, chill location
Tiny room, lock on door was hard to unlock.
The look and feel was very unique. The location was good too.
The only thing I didn't like was that the manual door lock was really old. I did not need to lock the door from the inside, since it locks automatically with the electronic lock. But as a habit, I turned the bolt on the manual door lock from the inside. When I tried to open it again, it was stuck! It took around 10 minutes and a lot of anxiety to get it open.
