If anywhere deserves the epithet ‘hidden gem’, it is this delightful little hotel located at a halt on the Bernina railway at the foot of the Morteratsch glacier. An oasis of calm, the staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful, and the facilities top class.

The stay was great. The staff was super helpful and always with a smile. The food was excellent. From the hotel you can go directly to the glacier with skies or by walk. Very nice.
In booking.com it says Pontresina, but it’s actually much further away, so you need to drive in the evening as the train station just by the hotel closes early. Taxi is very expensive.
