Location is on top of the world! Beautiful rooms, very clean and comfortable. Exactly what we needed after a long trek. Room service was available and much appreciated:)
Low level clouds blocked the view but nothing bad to say about the property.
The view at any moment was priceless!! The food was unforgettable (certain dishes we re ordered) and the staff were always welcoming and helpful. Activities are offered through other agencies which are fairly priced and value for money. Besides the activities, the hikes around the Raniban are great as well. There is a new road to the Retreat so you dont have to do the 500 odd steps.
We had gone during the beginning of winter so we needed a lot of hot water. It was limited due to solar panels.
Perfect location with good breakfast
The View of the Annapurna Massif is breathtaking. This would be the best sunset and sunrise I have seen till date. We were lucky to have clear sky and the view was amazing from the property. The stay itself is beautiful with individual cottages facing the mountains and phewa lake. The staff very friendly and helpful. The food was great . Overall beautiful place for a stay and relax.
The Retreat is located on a mountain top and to reach there requires a little bit of off-roading. The staff at Raniban had arranged for our pick up from the airport and our driver knew the roads well so it was trouble free to reach there even though the last 10 mins of the ride is bumpy. But in the end it was all worth it when u see the view from the property.
No doubt the views are out of this world!
Poor breakfast We were made aware of how bad the road to the property was - we feel the hotel should offer a pick up service from the bottom. It costs a lot of money to get taxis/ to from on top of price to stay at raniban. No tea or coffee facilities in room I was served what I no know was an off creme caramel, clearly had been re frozen - meant I had symptoms of food poisoning.
