Rms smelled like smoke; place was run down. Parking lot had huge potholes.
The location was farther then stated on booking.com
The staff was very friendly, particularly when we checked in. She was very helpful in terms of how to navigate an easier path to the City where we had a lot of stuff to get done in the evening hours of August 1st.
There appeared to be a lot of people sitting around outside their rooms drinking beer and smoking pot. Some of them gave my daughter and I odd looks as we were walking towards our room. After we got settled and watched a little TV, we headed into town. When we returned, we noticed that there was some sort of brownish liquid stains on the wall close to the end of the dresser that had apparently dried on the wall. There was also staining on walls and in different spots in the bathroom, including the shower. We only had one bathmat, one washcloth and a couple hand towels and larger towels (presumably for drying off). There were no toiletries to speak off, no tissues, no paper, no pens or pencils. While there was an ice bucket, there were no indications as to where any ice machines were located. We thought the beds were made nicely, but after seeing all the stains all over the room, and considering the lateness of the hour, we didn't feel comfortable showering or going under the covers. The AC worked well but was extremely loud and made it difficult to hear the TV, let alone sleep. We finally decided to turn the TV on sleep mode and that helped. Someone from another room tried our door several times in the middle of the night, obviously turning the door handle but finding it locked. No one knocked. There was a lot of noise from both sides, with doors opening and closing. Settling on the Motel 6 because of good experiences when I was a lot younger and traveling across the country, I expected the same kind of experience. I was very disappointed. Since I was taking my teenage daughter to a tour/program at the University of Pittsburgh early in the morning, I did not have the time or energy to attempt to address any of these issues with staff. When we finished checking in, the person working the desk indicated that they were almost completely sold out. I had asked for a Non Smoking room and although there were no ashtrays or ashes, it smelled like a smoking room.
The lights and tv worked.
Rooms had hair and dirt everywhere and nothing was wiped clean. AC was outdated, loud and did not get cold. Paid for 2 nights, did not have room cleaned in between nights. There was no hand soap or anything wash your hands. Toilet seat was broken and moved around when sitting on it. Deluxe room with the mini fridge never got cold. Shower head was 5ft in the standing shower, making it awkward to shower. Won't be staying here again. Not to mention there's a lot of foot traffic in and out of the place, and cops were there two times in one night.
Room was dirty. Parking lot was horrible
