The property exceeded our expectations with location and restaurant fantastic. We arrived on on Thursday 19th March early afternoon and were greeted by a concierge who helped us in with luggage and was very friendly (see next section however). The hotel overlooks a loch and the views are spectacular. We had dinner in the Brasserie and it couldn’t have been any better (expensive yes but top quality). The Spa facility is very serene and enjoyable.
The only negative was when we went to check-out next morning and a different concierge was on duty. Whilst we waited on the receptionist who was busy with other customers, he took it upon himself to effectively express exit us without any pleasantries or social graces. We were not asked whether we had enjoyed our stay, he just took the room keys and said thanks!!! This was in stark contrast to his colleague when we arrived who couldn’t have been more pleasant. Normally I would have give him some direct feedback on how rude he was (I am not a shrinking violet) however went along with things as didn’t want to cause a scene and upset my wife (it was here 60th Birthday treat) however hopefully this feedback will reach the ears of the individual concerned as having had a fantastic time, this wasted the whole experience for me. No more to be said in the matter apart from ‘you know who you are - please have a good think about things and correct your behaviour going forward’.
Staff extremely helpful today
Everything was amazing. Best place we've stayed. The welcome was excellent. The views from the restaurant. The spa was great.
That we only stayed the one night.
