Meet friends and have good memorable time!
Management is horrible. They judge people based on how they look. (Sometimes, they won’t let you check you in just because they don’t like the way you look, or because either the owner or the manager personally doesn’t like you. They treat you so unfairly compare to the others just because they don’t like you lol) They always looking for people to work at the hostel because they cannot manage the place by themselves, and people often leave because many people are not satisfied with/ don’t agree with the way they run this hostel. They take advantage of their power, and always threaten people saying “you follow us or we take your 20 dollar deposit.” Some rules are unclear in the beginning of your stay so you can only discover those rules when it happens to someone or yourself, or if you had a chance to hear the rules by people who stay there for a long time. The way they talk to you is not how people in hospitality job should talk like. I am so disappointed at this hostel, because I met so many amazing people at the hostel, and this hotel can be a better place. But they put too many rules which makes guests less confortable to stay. And the hostel is not flexible at all for any uncommon situation. We pay to stay here. But I feel like they don’t appreciate anything from guests. Of course I’m not saying we have any kinds of power, but I feel like we have no rights to say anything but just follow whatever the hostel says. If you would like to stay this kind of hostel, I would say the Hive is the best place for you in Perth.
I like public area and sofa
I've met so many good people at this hostel, the staff was really friendly and there are a lot of common areas where you can just sit and have fun together. It's a good place to chill but still strict when it comes to the rules, also the safety is really good because of the many cameras all around the hostel. The location is perfect. I've had a great time in the hive and would always go there again. :)
Disappointing the way was treated over leaving some luggage for the day after requesting the night before if it would be ok to do so as was leaving early in the morning and returning in the evening, I had to leave early before reception was open and then lost the deposit because I didn't notify them apparently which I had done the night before, ...disappointing overall
