10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful decor Huge bed AC kept us warm in December Water was hot and with the greatest pressure we experience in whole Marocco Staff speaks perfect English Great dinner and breakfast We felt very welcome, the atmosphere if just lovely Definitely a must in Ouarzette
Cons: Everything was perfect
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location and a nice quiet spot away from the main tourist hub. Ideal for enjoying the surroundings. True Moroccan hospitality from super friendly host, who was always available to help. Can't really fault this place. Would highly recommend and will stay again if we are back
Cons: Only the most MINOR thing (and we're being super pedantic, and having to think REALLY hard) were that the shower could have done with a curtain (but understand this would probably make the shower very dark so not ideal).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable, the food was delicious, we liked it very much.
Cons: Everything is perfect
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We regret spending only one night in this beautiful riad. Rooms and common spaces are very nice and warm, staff is extremely kind and helpful and food is amazing!
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good food, amazing staff
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely Riad with great and helpful staff. They give you a map which is nice for orientation. The breakfast was great and the coffee as well. The interior and decoration is awesome. We had a room on the groundfloor with a little terrace, which we liked. The have a rooftop terrace and a great, but very cool pool as well. Easy to reach and parking is just in front of the Riad.
Cons: Nothing

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hosts, lovely breakfast, very good location a nice evening meal as well. Nice local wine.
Cons: Wish we would have been there in the warmer months to use the pool!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice spot, relaxing and cetral location
Cons: The facilities around the pool, for example chairs and tables where outdated
7.9 Good
Pros: Large room and ensuite which was well presented. Large pool and casual alfresco eating and lounge
Cons: We didnt realise you have to make a booking for dinner so couldnt get a meal at the accommodation We had to walk into the town as our driver had dropped us off. We were quite tired after after a couple of big days driving and sightseeing so would have preferred to have been able to eat in. It would have been nice to have been offered even a light snack. Coffee cups were cracked (breeding ground for bacteria).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super nice hosts and staff who make you feel welcome. Lovely breakfast. Very calm area.
Dar Bladi - Ouarzazate - Building

A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great service, comfortable bed, great carpets! It is not easy to arrive there, was considering booking a wrong place while driving. But totally worthy it in the end... very relaxing and enjoyable stay! rooftop is amazing, feel pity didn’t make it before sunset.
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice large room, very comfortable bed, nice pool, nice furnishing, beautiful decoration, nice and peaceful roof terrace, parking right in front of the hotel, very nice and helpful staff!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Terrace view is great. We ate at the sister property Dear Daif and the supper was excellent.
Cons: The pillows were too high and too hard. The A.C. control didn't work. The listing should be clearer that the check in is at the Dar Daif sister property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, pillows, staff, breakfast, decor. All very simple but tasteful and well done.
Cons: It seems to be an electric issue in the building as no light at some point in the evening and when I woke up in the morning. But place is so nice and well kept that it didn't bother me too much as I have a light on my phone.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice big and clean room
Cons: Far away from the downtown. You need a car or a taxi. The staff was nice but a little pressing. You feel somehow controlled.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely friendly personel. Incredibly beautiful setting. Astonishing rooms. Top pick!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breafast and dinner were good. We enjoyed them on the roof terrace. The dar is a traditional house, a maze of rooms and corridors, which makes it very authentic. The information approved by the owner about the conditions of the road and route we should take were very helpful!
Cons: The location is relatively far from the center of the city.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: our stay in Dar Bladi was really lovely, we would totally recommend it to anyone! the staff is amazing, breakfast as well - make sure you choose to have it on the rooftop terrace. the view is gorgeous and even in November it was not too cold to sit there right after sunrise
7.0 Good
Pros: The lady who seems to run the place was wonderfully helpful, genuine and reliable. She went out of her way to allow us to eat in the divan on the roof terrace, which was a highlight. The views over the valley to Ouarzazate are superb, as is the context of the surrounding village. The food was very good, plentiful and well presented.
Cons: It's quite difficult to find, mostly because it wasn't obvious that it is a satellite of the Dar Daif hotel. All the signage majors on the Dar Daif.
6.3 Good
Pros: It gave a real sense of Morrocco, very authentic with wonderful views across to Ouarzazate, sheep bleating nearby and Donkeys passing by hard at work. The food was great and we were really well cared for with staff willing to help when needed.
Cons: It was a little too far out of town, therefore it could be difficult to taxi to. The petite taxis cannot go out that far. Luckily the tour company we used picked us up and dropped us back each day.
5.3 Okay
Pros: Authentig Kasbah
Cons: extremly dificult to found, its part of other house. parking- there is no hotel parking but parking on the street
4.3 Okay
Pros: Very nice view from the terrace, good breakfast.
Cons: A very bad smell in the bathroom that was preceived even in the bedroom.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staying in an authentic Kasbah
7.3 Good
Pros: once the trepidation of finding the riad abates, you are rewarded with an exotic, authentic riad experience in a traditional small village.Roof terrace traditional moroccan meals are graciously served by staff that genuinely strive to please. Sunrise ambling on the roof terrace allow views of the palmerie and lake below, whilst marvelling at the clacking bills of mating storks and villagers fishing or scything greenery for their animals in the distance.Exiting the village through dusty, adobe walkways adds to the adventue and romance of the site.Frequent prayer call reminds you of your proximity to a ancient culture and way-of-life different than yours.Truly an oasis for the traveler after a hectic day in the souk!
Cons: we were travelling by rental car so this is taxing as there are NO signs for Dar Bladi. It is several kms outside town in a village barely touched by tourists. One follows timidly a broken track and gravel winding road for three kms before you luckily enlist the help of locals.Arriving a night was challenging. Not much lighting so an elegant, gentle man led us by flashlight up rough-hewn steps and sandy path through adobe tunnels to our riad, sighted on a plateau. Not for the intrepid but just what this romantacist ordered! One of our most memorable stays in 4 weeks in Morocco

10.0 Excellent
Pros: All staff friendly, helpful and always smiling. Excellent food, lovely room, views and wine! We would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Everything was good!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Just perfect! I was touched by how deeply Idriss seemed to care about our well being and enjoyment of the property. It seemed he was willing to do absolutely anything to make our stay smoother/more comfortable: adapt the evening menu to our pescatarian tastes, recommend dinner options in Ouarzazate, recommend attractions on our drive to Marrakech, etc. The room/property itself were beyond charming - the hotel is the epitome of faded elegance/a Grand Budapest Hotel vibe (in the best way!) We had the infinity pool to ourselves both days which was an excellent place to relax between desert driving and Marrakech madness.
Cons: Literally nothing — and I am a tough customer! Bravo :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good room with view decorated with taste.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location with lakevieuw, beautiful pool and amazing staff
Cons: Rooms are ok but basic.
7.5 Good
Pros: All I can say is that the hotel is located in a beautiful setting.
Cons: The hotel is a bit run down. Our room was pretty dusty and we had to clean it ourselves. The air conditioning would turn itself off every 5 minutes. In a 38 Celsius heat it was not very pleasant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the pool area which is maximum 10 meter walking from all rooms, amazing infinity pool with great view, the friendly staff, small corners to sit and relax, the place is really quiet.
Cons: We only stayed one night we liked everything, I guess the breakfast is a little simple but overall a great stay
6.7 Good
Pros: The staff
Cons: The rooms
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the whole layout of the property. The atmosphere and location are fabulous even though it was far (25 min) from the city itself. Dries -the main staff person- was outstanding. He always had a smile on his face and nothing seemed too much trouble for him. YOu only meet a few people like that in your life and he is one of them
Cons: We were staying there on New Year's eve and were disappointed that the Riad-owned by a french couple- did Nothing to make this evening a special one. Dinner was over at 10 pm, the bar with a beautiful fireplace was left with no one to sell (or make) any type of drinks. We played cards and saluted 2020 with some water left from dinner. Although the suite we stayed in the second night was beautiful the room was so cold we had to wear socks, slacks, and jumper in the room (also in the bathroom!)
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the location – such a tranquill spot with stunning lake views and a great place to relax near the pool! The French owner is charming and welcoming, he met us like old friends and it is evident that all the staff is like a family. The room was also much bigger than average, and we enjoyed the breakfast served in a separate tent-like room outside. This was only a one night stay for us, but definitely a palce I could come back to for a lazy week in the summer!
Cons: All good!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel team is very helpful, pleasant and friendly.
Rose Noire - Ouarzazate - Outdoor view
5
8.8 Excellent (585 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Ouarzazate, La Rose Noire is a 1-minute drive from Kasbah Taouirt and 9 minutes from Atlas Studios. Featured amenities include a business center, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything in this place was simply amazing - from being warmly greeted by the owner, to delicious dinner she cooked for our family. Rooms are beautifully decorated with attention to functional detail, everything was in excellent working condition. Yet it felt like visiting a relative at home - so many remarkable touches in this riad, which, as we understood, belong to the owner's great-grandparents. Views from the windows and rood terrace are breathtaking - so much worth the visit!!!
Cons: Finding may not be easy - riad is located centrally, yet off the main road. Once we called the riad, the owner helped us navigate to it - location is hidden from the main road, but this made it even more appealing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, clean rooms, good location and pretty terrace. Can't complain about anything. Value for money and would recommend.
Cons: Nothing.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The location. We were able to experience a bit the labyrinthe of a Morrocan neighborhood.
Cons: The lack of good hygiene in the establishment. In the fee price breakdown you will see they charge a cleaning fee for 20€, however I did not feel, smell nor ser it in the hotel. When you claim a cleaning fee, and I don't mind paying, it should be obvious. We had a hard time sleeping because the room we stayed in was not passable for the word "clean". There was a small bed for my child, we sat on it and smelled that the pillows were not washed and it smelled like they were in the closet for years, that old smell. We were disgusted because my daughter was supposed to sleep in it and they didn't even put clean covers on it. Also the carpets in the room were dirty and stained. Also, in the bathroom, my husband saw a bunch of hair strands from different guests ( due to the different color) hanging on the ceiling, we suppose women staying had their hair stuck on the ceiling while drying it and the hotel staff is not bothered to clean it. And the bath towels smelled like cigarettes. You enter the room and it is quite obvious that it heavily lacks cleaning. The breakfast was ok, there were viennoiserie, french pastries however the coffee was terrible. Also, in the room we stayed, there was a very weird sexual photo that we thought was inappropriate to hang in a hotel where children can stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great little find among the backstreets - quaint and comfortable rooms set upstairs over an open living area filled with books and trinkets. Jmia’a looked after us by giving us a choice of rooms, walking us to the restaurant we picked for dinner, providing a delicious breakfast and explaining to us a little about her life and history. Recommended.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely original house which has been in the same family for years. Delightful hostess who treated us like one of the family; we were there on New Year’s Eve and though there was nothing planned we ended up joining with the family in music and good cheer.
Cons: It was freezing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was incredible. Very nice location, the room was big with very nice decoration. The breakfast was very reach. The personel was very kind and friendly. Amazing place to stay.
Cons: The bathroom needs some renovations.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The Riad is so beautiful... They also have a terrasse with a great view.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room. The building itself is really beautiful and breakfast was good. the staff was really nice too.
Cons: Can be difficult to find
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Stayed one night in a standard double room. Quick and easy check-in/out. Great breakfast. Spacious bed and bathroom. The place itself is very quiet. Friendly staff.
Cons: The property was not easy to find. The shower head holder was broken. Small brown (clay?) bits were falling down from the bathroom ceiling.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Liked the terrace and the dining room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a very warm welcome on the roof terrace with the most beautiful view on the atlas with sunset. The rooms were proper and the staff was friendly.
Cons: They serve too much food. But really enjoyed it though. The breakfast and especially the dinner were of very good quality.
7.0 Good
Pros: The family that owns the place is beautiful and very friendly. Location is very good and same goes for the food but you should order it at least 2 hours before desired time since that is how much you will have to wait for it. But the hosts will provide you with tea and snacks and company of their lovely daughters which makes it much easier to wait.
Cons: As previously mentioned the family that owns the place is exceptional and I wish I could give a higher rate but we were there during winter months and one out of two rooms we reserved didn't have heating which made our stay extremely cold. Also, in the morning there was no hot water which made it impossible to take a shower since the room was already too cold. I would for sure recommend this place during hot days :)
9.0 Excellent
Pros: You feel like at home, spending the evening with the owners children, good dinner and delicious breakfast with home made products
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice place. Great value for money. Staff doesn't speak english, but they are very friendly and helpful. Nice, simple breakfast.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice and big place somewhere outside the hotel, breakfast was good
Cons: Wifi didnt work in the room
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice kasbah and comfortable! Good breakfast!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The landlady agreed for us to do check-out earlier than in her offer. She offered us coffee and some sweets although she serves breakfast later. It was very kind of her! The kasbah is situated off the road and it has an amazing atmosphere after you enter the patio. I wish I had had time to try the dinner they offer. The location is comfortable whether you want to visit the Atlas studio or it’s just a stopover on the way to the desert. I definitely recommend it!
Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect.

6.3 Good
Cons: Room too dark, not enough light, need to be renovate
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice property, loved the berber houses with rooms.
Cons: Standard luxury hotel.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: This was a terrible hotel, checked in and found the housekeeper asleep on our bed when we entered the room. Very apologetic but still set the tone for the stay. No Gin available at the pool bar (for a 5 star hotel anywhere in the world I’d expect the basics) and staff seemed rude and disinterested in us as guests. We were ripped off by the guide recommended by the hotel and the whole stay was very expensive for what we received in service and amenity. Don’t stay here.
Cons: Staff lying on my bed when I checked.....
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Public areas are nicely decorated. Located in the city center. Free parking directly in front of the hotel.
Cons: Quite old suites. Private patio made me feel like in a prison - no decoration, just walls. If you travel independent and all the bus groups were at the breakfast buffet earlier than you, it looks like after an invasion of locusts - at least five waiters are standig around, but no one is cleaning up the mess. Then you are almost alone in the hotel at least!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The overall experience was great. Our group received complimentary upgrades as they happened to be available. The rooms and facilities were superb and the hotel is simply gorgeous. If we were to ever Ourzazate again, would not hesitate to stay here again.
Cons: Might have been a bit on the expensive side, but it is expected as it is a proper hotel with excellent facilities.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Generally good service, large hotel with a lot of facilities
Cons: Room rate and f&b was somewhat overpriced when compared to similar properties in the city
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms and Breakfast
Cons: Nothing

Dar Chamaa - Ouarzazate - Bedroom
12
8.4 Excellent (116 reviews)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, great dinner, good breakfast. Nice room with good shower, great swimmingpool. Staff of restaurant was very nice.
Cons: Check-in wasn't very personal
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. Beautiful riad. Modern but still with lots of Moroccan details. We loved it! Unfortunately is was too cold for swimming but the garden, pool and lounge are amazingly beautiful.
Cons: Wifi was great during the day when the other guests were out, in the evening the wifi was not so strong anymore (but still beter than lots of other places we stayed at).
5.0 Okay
Cons: Air con leaked all night, dinner not that great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a friendly welcome by the friendly and, of course, the mint tea. The location is not so easy to find but as a half way from Marrakesh to Merzouga Desert, we recommend the stay. Lovely view from our room and when it is warmer, the swimming pool is a plus.
Cons: Maybe during dinner we could have at least 2 options to choose as a menu. For a new hotel, maybe an elevator for seniors or disable people would be nice - but we understand most of Riads/Small hotels in Morrocos dont offer elevators.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: - staff was super helpful and nice (i fell and cut my knee and they provided my with everything so i didn't have to go to pharmacy) - the hotel itself is very beautiful, nice grounds and pool - clean room, comfy bed, nice view, reliable shower, AC wifi - secured parking
Cons: - the hotel is located next door to a farm so we were woken up by cows, sheep etc every morning - the hotel is located far from the city center so a dinner away requires a taxi - breakfast could be better - card were not accepted on our check out
Hotel Riad Amlal - Ouarzazate - Lobby

8.3 Excellent (172 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Ouarzazate, Hotel Riad Amlal is within a 10-minute drive of Kasbah Taouirt and Atlas Studios. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Greeted with the traditional mint tea and Moroccan pastries. Pool area itself was prwtty
Cons: Just a very hot hotel, AC did not cool room well. Loud hallways, and dark areas. Hotel restaurant was lacking in food variety. Set menu for dinner but breakfast was good. Not a lot in the town which is not the Riad’s fault.
7.9 Good
Pros: The receptionist and personnel were really friendly and helpful. The camel sunset tour was magnificent and worth every penny.
Cons: All in all the food wasn’t worth its price. I love Moroccan food but this was way too oily. Also the 4x4 tour offered was not worth 100 Euro. We were done within 2 hours (promised tour of 5 hours). However the camel sunset tour was magnificent and worth every penny.
7.1 Good
Pros: Ok normal room with no extra comfort
Cons: The room was not very cozy but ok, the restaurant was not very friendly, and when we asked about breakfast, they were not able to tell us what they have, in the end, they only showed us written possible items in the phone, but nothing was ready
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location was convenient.
Cons: Not good enough for the price. Firstly, the room wasn't really clean. The cushions on the bed were covered with dust, the sheets have some stains on them and all the towels have stains on them. Being charged at around £60 per night, we do expect them to pay more efforts to provide us a clean room with clean linens. The floor and carpets were dirty as well. A member of staff asked us if we would like them to clean the room and we did ask them to clean the floor but they didn't. Secondly, most of the staff are nice, for examples, the usual staff at the reception. However, the impression was sadly ruined by one member of staff. My husband and I were having breakfast one morning, we were talking to each other happily, and then all of a sudden a member of staff in a hoodie came to us and interrupted our conversation. Since his French was very limited and he doesn't speak English either, we guessed from his broken French and body language that he was mainly saying we shouldn't talk to each other and look at each other like that. It's something we should only do "à la maison". I found it truly absurd and I was really offended by this bs. I respect that there are conservative people in this country, but we weren't doing anything outrageous at all. We didn't do any PDA and we weren't even holding each other's hands. All we did was talking to each other with eye contact and smiling like any normal couple would do. He was impolite to interrupt our breakfast like that to tell us off when we were doing nothing wrong in any sense.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, old world charm, big bed, spacious room #7 with desk, excellent shower, good toilet, very good working a/c, very accommodating & helpful staff, 2 complimentary bottles of water in room (not per day, one time only). I initially had an issue with WiFi log-in, & the I.T. person remedied it immediately.
Cons: I didn’t like that the riad didn’t accept credit cards (plastic). I am traveling for 3 months, and using plastic as form of payment provides a better and easier budget process. The cleaning staff did not provide new clean towels the second day of my stay (I requested at front desk).
7.0 Good
Pros: The stuff is very nice and help a lot. The place is at great location, just 2 minutes walk from the central street and the suk, everything is open until late and it's nice for small city. Riad located at quiet place with nice places to chill inside and outside riad.
Cons: The rooms are old but very clean. Need to change the towels, clean but very old.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Decent breakfast, good location, super friendly staff. Parking in front of the entrance was no problem.
Cons: No room service which we didn't mind but might be unwanted by other guests.
5.8 Okay
Cons: Location was horrible. There is nothing in the location of hotel so you have to eat there. Going out into town was awkward and there was really nothing there. Also, you must pay in cash for stay-surprise to us.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was superb! Some of the best food on our trip!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was the first stop after 3 days in the desert so it was simply amazing to have a hot water shower and a heater in the room. The heater worked great - we loved it. Really heated up our room in the cold Moroccan nights (around 2 degrees) Dinner and breakfast was great. We really liked it.
Cons: the hot water could have been warmer/ didn’t get very hot and the showerhead didn’t fit perfectly into the fittings- so you had to hold the shower head on your hand while showering. For a price of 200€/night this should all work nicely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room Alexander the Great is everything you would expect, spacious room with super comfy bad, huge bathroom with columned bath tub, golden ornaments. A little bit kitsch, but definitely high level of craftsmanship throughout the whole hotel. Rich breakfast and super nice staff
Cons: Perfectly happy

Pros: We loved the decor, the pool and out door area, and mostly we loved the staff! They were kind and welcoming, and very accommodating, too.
Cons: The lunch and dinner prices were quite high for the area at €30. We chose to eat out in town.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The property and, above all, the people working in it.
Cons: Breakfast could and should be better.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful guest house, very unique rooms, lovely dining area, nice pool and welcoming staff. A/C worked great. Mini fridge in room and nice fruit. Clean and well decorated.
Cons: Everything was great! The restaurant in the hotel was delicious just a bit pricey for the portion size. I understand it was a small place and maybe we wanted more because it was so good.
