Good 7.1
Cons: Less noice. Difficult to sleep. Very busy road.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location was excellent and offers a parking space. Also Nigel very helpful and gave us a card and chocolates for our wedding anniversary. Very kind! Homemade marmalade’s and yoghurt lovely. Breakfast beautifully sourced and cooked.
Cons: Nothing really. Its a lovely house. It’s an old building so you expect a few noises from plumbing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This is a fantastic little Guest House, lovely clean room with a basket of tasty snacks (crisps, chocolate and biscuits,) bottled water, tea and coffee. Our room was cleaned daily and fresh towels provided daily too. The breakfast was delicious, a very good selection of cereals, fresh fruit salad, orange juice, homemade yogurt, jams, marmalade’s and bread. A good choice of hot food too. All cooked fresh to order, nothing was too much trouble, the owners Nigel and Elspeth bent over backwards to meet all our needs, in fact they go above and beyond to ensure all guests are happy and have everything they need We mentioned in general conversation that we like our bedroom window open as we prefer our bedroom cool. It was lovely to come back in after a long day of sightseeing to find our curtains closed ( keeping the sun out,)and a small fan on, making our room lovely and cool. Thank you Nigel and Elspeth, you are fantastic hosts, your attention to detail is excellent. We highly recommend Wedgewood Guest House, next time we visit Norwich we will definitely book here again.
Cons: I have nothing negative to say.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent location for days out from Norwich by train. Very friendly and welcoming owners. Clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent freshly prepared breakfast.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was like staying at a friend's house but everything was really clean and set up just for you :) Sean and Vivian were very kind, making sure I had everything and that I knew where everything was in the city (and how to easily get to the airport on the day I left). It was in a quiet area but *literally* a 5 min walk from the train station and all the restaurants and amenities.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like. The room was clean, everyone was kind, the breakfast was good. I would definitely recommend it to everyone. My daughter and her partner are thinking of a short break in Norwich and want me to book them a room there.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Great guest house at very reasonable price. Staff very helpful and polite. Helped me with arrangements to get to the conference centre which was a distance out of town. This is second time I have used Abbey Guest House and will use again.

Excellent 8.3
Pros: Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful -- we were checking out Sunday morning but leaving Norwich that evening, but the staff held onto our bags for us all day.

Excellent 8.8
Pros: Easy access, on-site parking, clean, nice decor and excellent staff plus a really nice breakfast.
Cons: Mattress a bit bouncy.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The room was a pleasant surprise, it was very large and elegant. The bathroom was also splendid with a very large tub and a rain shower. The bed was comfortable with nice linens and pillows and the towels were flush. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very unique setting as this is a very old building which is been beautifully redone bit by bit. Highly recommended.
Cons: They preferred that you not have takeout in the rooms which meant we had to go out to eat when we’d have preferred staying in.
Good 7.9
Pros: Lovely house with lots of character. Spacious and nicely furnished bedroom and bathroom, comfy bed and well presented tasty breakfasts in pleasant dinning room
Cons: Initially seemed to have been a little mix up with the booking as there was no-one in when we arrived at 4 pm. However, soon sorted. As it was sunny and not rainy, we were able to sit in the sunshine in the courtyard until someone arrived to let us into the room. In future we will always ring in advance of our arrival to a B&B and confirm expected time of arrival. Unusual location for an old Manor House, although handy for Norwich. Bus stop across the road. 20 minutes bus ride. In a built up residential area and nowhere really to walk to in the evening. However, there was a lovely garden and we stayed out until later in the evening so not an issue for us.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location was great - just ten minutes' drive from Norwich or 25-30 minutes on the bus and the bus stop was just outside. Catton Old Hall is a beautiful, historic building with loads of original features. The room was very clean, the bathroom was pristine, the bed was very comfy and the breakfasts were excellent. The staff were very friendly and very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely stay again and probably for longer than this time.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Very nice converted property, comfortable bed, and very good breakfast.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was a full English but other options are available, just let the hotel know before 9pm. Buses to the city centre of Norwich can be caught outside the hotel ,let someone else take the strain of driving/parking.
Cons: the only fly in the ointment was the roadworks which meant a road closure for two days of our stay, didn't stop access to the hotel.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Lovely & Professional Staff, well organised & presented breakfast room. Pleasant Breakfast, clean and appropriate decor in a quiet location. Creaky floors and beds due to the character and age of the building, lovely wooden beams within the room.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely room, very spacious and good location
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Nice old building, rooms with lots of character but all facilities modern all very clean. Excellent breakfast with many choices.

Pros: The welcome from all the staff , and there attention to ensure the stay was perfect

Good 7.9
Pros: Lovely breakfast, friendly staff.
Good 7.9
Pros: Breakfast
Good 7.5
Pros: The building was beautiful and elegant. We had a four-poster bed which was lovely.
Cons: The breakfast was a real disappointment. The cooked side of things was good, but the meager cereal and fruit offering really let it down. For the price charged I expected fresh seasonal fruit and a pastry selection. The facilities in the bedrooms could do with updating, and there were no toiletries.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: This fabulous looking villa gave me a warm welcome. My room was very large, the bed was clean and hard enough. Furthermore, WiFi worked fairly well during my stay. The breakfast and dinner was classy and delicious. Furthermore, the staffs were very kind and eager to know if everything was OK.
Cons: Toilet had a funny odor (not thoroughly cleaned pot). Water pressure was low. Toilet amenities were limited.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Quality of food at Evening meal was excellent and so too was breakfast although a fruit salad option would be welcome. Bed rooms were comfortable and clean.
Cons: As previously mentioned the only minor alteration that I would make would be a fruit salad option at breakfast.

Pros: Very nice B & B over a Pub, in a residential area. Room was clean, and everything was there, i.e. hairdryer, kettle, tea, coffee, milk, fridge, iron and ironing board. Breakfast was continental style, which was all in the room. Breakfast included fruit juice, cereal, yoghurt, crosiant, jam and butter, also fresh fruit, so it was very good. A Walk from the premises of 35 minutes takes you into the town centre. The Pub downstairs served food and a vast array of drinks.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Friendly staff great food
Cons: Shower - was faulty didn’t stay lifted up but didn’t spoil the overall experience
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Clean and comfortable
Cons: Very hot in the room
Good 7.1
Pros: The breakfast concept was good. The bedroom fit out and parking was good.
Cons: Nothing in particular.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Nice welcome. Very comfortable room with great shower. Enjoyed the evening meal and the beer is great.
Cons: All good! (Could do with a non-slip mat in the shower)
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The place was very clean and quiet. Even if we were on top of a pub, we didn't hear any noise coming from there. The room is big as is the bathroom. Breakfast is in the room, only cold dishes but it was tasty enough.
Good 6.3
Pros: location and parking. tea & coffee, continental breakfast.
Cons: Room hot. quilt too thick for summer. Pillows smelt a bit.
Good 6.7
Cons: Staff not very helpful
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Beautiful bedroom, gorgeous shower. Stayed for an exam at limelight studios, 15 minute walk away. Comfy bed and extra pillows provided. Onsite parking is good. Very quiet for being above a pub but it was a Thursday evening. The continental breakfast included is in the room already with a tray for breakfast in bed. Plenty of tea and coffee too. Would definitely recommend it.
Cons: Nothing it was all good!

Excellent 10.0
Pros: This was are second visit to the Blue Boar this year and we will definitely be going back later in the year, staff are very welcoming and friendly, room was lovely and breakfast in the morning was fantastic. We also had evening meal which was fantastic too. Looking forward to going back later this year.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very good location for our needs (the Broads & Great Yarmouth area). Excellent breakfast (incl. in price) with extensive lunch / evening menu if you wanted to eat in. Good bar area. Room compact but with large, very modern bathroom. Very nice staff. On main bus route into nearby Norwich if required.
Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Clean and tidy rooms with plenty of space and a comfortable bed. Breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice, although I can only really comment on the full English, as that was my daily choice. This is my second stay this year so that should tell you something. Recommended
Cons: There really isn’t anything I can think of
Good 7.1
Pros: Lovely staff really helpful.. had to leave before breakfast so they gave us some cereal for our room and also some milk.. brilliant!
Cons: Cobwebs In room
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff lovely and friendly and very helpful
Cons: Couldn’t find anything we didn’t like
Excellent 8.3
Pros: We have stayed here twice and highly recommend this small bed and breakfast. Convenient location, small but clean room with large bathroom, very quiet. The staff were excellent and you get a great made to order breakfast served with a smile every morning.
Cons: The room was a little on the small side.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff friendly & welcoming, rooms clean & comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast was very good quality, plentiful & freshly cooked. We also ate there one evening & food & service excellent.
Cons: Only thing we would add is blackout blinds - everything else was great!
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The staff were excellent and couldn't have been more friendly or helpful if they tried The food was reasonably priced always a good selection and was cooked perfectly All the staff worked extremely hard to make the stay enjoyable and relaxing
Cons: The bathroom could do with a deep clean Also the taps and waste need descaling
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Room and bathroom were clean, comfortable and adequate. Staff very helpful. Food excellent. We had a family reunion one day. 12 relatives met for lunch. Starters, mains and deserts were served and not one complaint. Beautiful food, served well. Breakfast included in price . Excellent choice. We will add that to our list of return visits. Highly recommend.
Cons: There really wasn't anything we didn't like. Apart from putting an extra handrail on the stair case. Everything was good.
Okay 5.8
Pros: Towels were plentiful and soft
Cons: Bathroom had lots of flaking paint and mould Shower curtain was filthy

Pros: Location was ideal for getting into the city. Road noise was hardly noticeable, considering our room was next to the road.
Cons: Bed was very uncomfortable, could feel the springs and it was very firm. Pillows were too firm as well, should offer variation of softness. Lucozade bottle was found behind the bed, I assume from the people who stayed before! Sandy/dust on the bottom of the window. Bathroom needs redoing, as paint flaking off. Also the shower only goes to a Lukewarm temperature.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Bedroom was very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Couldn’t shower properly as no water came out of the head properly.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Our experience at Wensum Guest House was overall pleasant. Room and bathroom were "basic" but well cleaned. The room was also quiet and equipped with kettle, tea, coffee and cookies. Breakfast (available with 5 pounds fee) is basic but complete: good choice of FRESH fruit (fresh fruit is a plus to me), cereals, pastries, toasts with butter, jam, nutella and so on, coffee and milk. Top-rating for the staff: they have been kind, polite and helpful in any circumstance. The price is probably not cheap but considering my bad experience in a cheaper b&b I must assume that it is the average price for a good b&b in Norwich.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Spacious and clean, very comfortable living room and dining room. Loved the kitchen
Cons: A bit far from city center though there are public buses. Would have been great if there was laundry washing powder provided
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Friendly staff on arrival. And room felt welcoming after busy day!
Good 7.5
Pros: On-site parking. Cleanliness. Quality of towels. Fan in the room - it was a very hot night.
Cons: No one was available at Reception at 15:00 when we arrived, when we had advised on the online booking form that we would arrive between 15:00 and 16:00. We therefore had to go into town to find a cafe to refresh after our long journey, which was an additional expense to us. Lack of filter coffee at breakfast; we were told the 'coffee machine was broken' but the staff should at least have got cafetieres to use. The dining area was cramped as there were too many tables out. These tables were sticky, it seemed to be the varnish not because they were not wiped. Too much plastic on pre-packed breakfast supplies: how about using small, attractive, ceramic pots for marmalade etc? Not impressed at all with excessive plastic packaging for cereals, etc. We were not aware on booking that the breakfast was not included in the price. Not enough milk portions in the room - despite excessive instant coffee and tea sachets. No hot chocolate powder. The carpet in the room felt dirty.
Good 7.5
Pros: Convenient walk into city centre. Quiet location.
Cons: Very limited choice of breakfast - ok for one night, but wouldn't be good if staying longer
Good 7.5
Pros: Very easy and convenient
Cons: Car too hot
Good 7.9
Pros: Suited us v well. Staff generally friendly. Nice and informal. Breakfast a bit hit-and-miss
Excellent 8.8
Pros: We don't eat breakfast but the continental style buffet pastries always look and smell very tempting. Wensum House is located conveniently for the city centre which is a very pleasant walk away.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely comfortable room
Cons: Food not much choice basic menu
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Management were amazing and upgraded me to different room as the one I was in wasn't up to their expectations without myself requesting.
Cons: The only fault was the breakfast as it got later into the morning the food was not at best expectations of perhaps the early morning.
Okay 5.0
Pros: garden look beautiful, but the hotel it was not good.
Cons: room was very small and very cold bid was uncomfortable.
Good 6.0
Pros: Reception area and grounds
Cons: Very shabby and dowdy bar area and breakfast room. Shabby and tired carpet and decor on stairs and landing leading up to room. Smelly shower curtain.
Okay 5.8
Pros: Golf course and pool area very good. Nice grounds
Cons: Breakfast poor. Rooms cold due to no heating on until November. Restaurant closed for private function
Good 6.7
Pros: Breakfast pretty good. Location fine. Bed comfortable, we were given a suite which was great. Leisure facilities excellent
Cons: The whole place looked a little tired. Driveway entrance too bumpy. Lacked the atmosphere of previous visits.
Okay 5.8
Pros: Spacious room, ample parking, comfortable bed. Good shower. Nice swimming pool.
Cons: I was hungry after travelling up to Norwich from London. I tried to eat at the restaurant and they told me they were fully booked. I tried to order room service and nobody answered when I call the number or reception. When I asked a member of staff they advised I go down the road to McDonalds. Not exactly what I expected. Coffee was unpleasant at breakfast and quality of cooking breakfast was very underwhelming.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful.
Cons: The rooms are either too hot or too cold. Air conditioning would help.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The location is in a excellent setting surrounded by the Golf Course and trees , yet is close to the city and within easy walking distance of the Park and Ride. Plenty of parking. The Spa and swimming pool is well laid out and very relaxing.
Cons: We ate in the Hotel the first night in the main Restaurant. The menu choices were limited and two of the six main courses on offer were already not available with a further choice becoming unavailable during our meal. Restaurant staff seemed disorganised despite being in sufficient in number.
Good 7.0
Pros: Amazing stay , few hiccups but nothing major , Wrong room key was given to us and when we opened door there was a man in the bath with door opened .. staff was very apologetic and gave us a different room immediately , there was a weird noise in our room which was investigated but was told they couldn’t find source of it , overall it was a beautiful place and we wanted to stay forever
Cons: House keeping woke us up at 8ish when we was checking out that day .. we had till 11am to check out

Excellent 9.6
Pros: Friendly receptionist. Clean, comfortable room. Quiet location. Efficient room service and speedy service.
Cons: The bed sheet was too small for the bed.
Good 7.5
Pros: The staff friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable clean. The breakfast was excellent. There was not any Green tea in the room, the staff went out of their way to locate some for me.
Cons: The air-conditioning did not work so the rooms were quite warm and at times uncomfortable. There was dust on skirting boards between beds.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Love the variety of food on BREaskfast Room clean and welcoming All the activities there and included in price including sauna, pool and gym..
Cons: Was pretty good didn't like to have to pay park.
Good 7.9
Pros: Breakfast was very good. General amenities were as we had expected.
Cons: The fact you have to pay for parking as a resident.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Excellent for Norwich airport; the hotel is on their doorstep. The lady on the front desk could not have been more cheerful or helpful. Our early morning call was from a real person too!
Cons: The décor in the restaurant. From memory it was neither subtle or pleasing to the eye but then I'm being entirely subjective.
Good 7.5
Cons: I could hear the person next door snoring. Leisure facilities are tired.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location to airport, restaurant was nice, good food and service. Hotel had been updated so was quite attractive. Nice bathroom and very clean.
Good 6.3
Pros: Helpful staff
Cons: Initial room had not been cleaned properly
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Easy experience. Came for a wedding. Nice room easy check in / out.
Cons: Nothing
Okay 5.8
Pros: Breakfast food was decent but not included in room rate. Nice large showers and good size rooms. Location is convenient.
Cons: Despite booking a twin room my friend and I were given a double with a tiny 135cm wide bed and shared duvet. It was ridiculously hot and a super unpleasant night. When we asked to change rooms to a twin the next morning we were made to feel like a huge inconvenience. New room had a very noticeable stain on one sheet which we had to then request to be changed. Restaurant is expensive and food average at best. Parking costs extra, £4.95 per night. Pool looks a lot nicer in the pictures than it does in real life. Roof above pool covered in mould. Bunch of black hair was floating around in pool. Last entry to pool is at 8pm.

Good 6.3
Pros: Breakfast was good and quiet location
Cons: All good except when I wanted a receipt for any stay was only offered handwritten on paper, so when it’s business unable to claim back from company
Good 6.3
Pros: Lovely village location. Clean and relatively comfortable room. Very good breakfast.
Cons: Hot water for shower was very limited, certainly not adequate for two people. Only suggestion was to use shower in another room, which defeats point of booking an ensuite. On arrival we had lots of dead bugs on our carpet, which was dealt with. Strange overall vibe, didn't feel like the owners actually wanted us there. No offer of partial refund for the issues we encountered
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was very good & Room was comfortable.
Okay 5.4
Pros: Clean, tidy and lovely people
Cons: Certainly isn’t worth £130 for 2 nights, food isn’t nice either.
Good 7.9
Cons: Website said they cater for special diets so I emailed in advance asking if they could supply a vegan breakfast and got a 4 word reply saying “cereal, veg, fruit, toast “. Not a nice or helpful reply. When there I asked for dairy free milk for the cereal and they did not know what that was so had just dry toast for breakfast. Was not impressed!
Good 7.1
Pros: The property was in a great location for what we had traveled to Norwich for .
Cons: The two beds in our twin room were so different in softness and we were asked what we would like for our breakfast on the first morning of our stay and that seemed to be set in stone for the rest of our stay .
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Bed was comfy and they were friendly and welcoming. Loved the outside garden area.
Cons: No hot water in the room for washing, we didn't know they would go in the room to make beds and clean it. Threw stuff away we wanted would have preferred to have been asked if we minded on arrival. Arrived a little early knocked door and rang bell no answer, we just wanted to leave the car. No one let us in till after half four.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Lovely large room and quiet location
Cons: Nice and big
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Quiet location, easy parking, great WiFi, breakfast was nice, host was friendly, beds comfortable, show decent.
Cons: Lack of fan in room but that’s it
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very pleasant owner who looked after us far exceeding what we expected. Beautiful B&B. Decor & cleanliness were amazing. Breakfasts were delicious & cooked to perfection.

Good 7.5
Pros: Staff really good
Cons: The room smelt musty, couldn't open windows The room was clean The restaurant food was expensive to say it was heated in microwave
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The Breakfast fulfilled our requirements although as daily porridge eaters we would have preferred 'real' porridge.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Spacious room and airy bathroom
Cons: Bar area a bit uninviting.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Comfy bed
Cons: Food at breakfast filled up quicker and cutlery check that was clean
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything other than the allocation of guests. The room was great but the choice of putting party guests on the same floor as families and elder age groups is not a advisable option as we were all disturbed and disrespected by their behaviour.
Cons: Nothing the property itself was clean and comfortable
Good 7.1
Pros: The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and the breakfast was ok
Good 6.3
Pros: Clean .. nice bathroom .
Cons: Key card for door constantly stopped working , and staff put it on me over and over that it was down to myself keeping it near my phone or wireless devices even though I’m aware of it and never did it . Access in and out of my room Became a issue to the point I felt restricted to even leave as it would mean I’d have to get card reactivated . Really should not have been such a issue ..
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location Quiet Staff
Cons: All was good
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Availability of family room - 17 yr old daughter was able to share
Cons: Neighbours from hell - rowdy guests across the corridor but I guess we can’t blame Holiday Inn for that!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Ideally situated just outside Norwich City Centre. Guide local transport which on a weekend is a bonus as it avoids the hassle of driving in, parking etc., coupled with avoiding the youth of today, during the nighttime.
Cons: Nearly getting run over in the car park (by a driver ignoring the route of travel). So not a Holiday Inn failure

Excellent 9.6
Pros: The hotel is well located on the near outskirts of the City Centre. It is clean and well presented and the staff we're really friendly and welcoming. The hotel has a lovely indoor pool and gym for guests.
Cons: It feels a little dated but not enough to detract from my recommending it to friends and family.
Good 7.5
Pros: Clean room, and helpful staff.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Comfortable room and bed.
Cons: No fridge in room.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Massive bed very comfortable
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Clean rooms friendly stuff
Cons: Lovely hotel friendly stuff clean rooms
Good 7.1
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was clean and warm. The bathroom was beautiful, and the shower easy to regulate, with plentiful hot water.
Cons: The rooms got too warm in the afternoon, no airconditioning. The pillows were hard, and the food menu was unappealing. The traffic noise was very loud, even with the window shut.
Good 7.1
Pros: The size of the room was good, the bed was comfy.
Cons: The lace curtain was moldy. Had trouble opening the windows.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: I had accidentally made a booking for the wrong date (I suspect I inadvertently accepted an alternate date presented to me online because my chosen date was fully booked). We arrived late at night more than two weeks early(!), but the kind and very friendly receptionist found a suitable room for my family and me at no extra cost.
Good 7.5
Pros: We did not have breakfast, as was full up by a lovely meal in the hotel the night before. The hotel & staff were great, and the pool & sauna were lovely.
Cons: I did`nt realize it was a party venue. Also the room next door had music blaring all night, I fell asleep at 03.45 and there was no telephone in the room to complain, I was to nervous to walk down to reception, as there was a lot of drunk groups, i.e hen groups. I did phone from my mobile, but was put through to a call center. And complained by email. First time I have ever had to made a complaint.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: The swimming pool and fitness room were nice add-ons, but rather small (and full of children). The bed was very large and comfortable, and the sofa bed was OK. The restaurant was good for the evening meal.
Cons: Wifi connection never worked, which was frustrating. The swimming pool was too crowded with children, it would be nice to have some hours when it was accessible only to 14+.
