Lack of information
I booked this hotel for the amenities that the offer. Nothing in the apps nor their website or even the hotel lobby is telling me that the spa is closed nor where or what should I expect. Very upsetting and I was really hoping to relax before going back to my dogs funeral.
I don't like that I was uninformed and I felt the manager care
Great place to visit for lower Manhattan

The Allen Hotel has all of the hallmarks of an old world property with lots of history, but it is actually a new hotel in New York City’s charming Lower East Side. Bordering along the edge of the neighborhood known as the Bowery, it is also close to the famous Katz’s Deli (which is where the notorious deli scene from “When Harry Met Sally” was filmed), SoHo, Bleeker Street, and all of the shopping along Orchard Street, Nolita, and Broadway and Lafayette Streets, including Bloomingdales. The property is steps from public transportation and around seven to 10 miles from the major airports – also readily accessible by subway, cabs, or the Air Train.
While its location alone is enough to make it an appealing choice, its boutique size and long list of amenities make it great for leisure or business travelers alike. It includes a 1,000-square-foot meeting and conference space, an on site café serving cocktails and foods along with local coffee, a concierge, free Wi-Fi throughout, and fitness center with sauna.
The 41 rooms are each uniquely styled and feature such elegant accents as cherry wood floors, Tiffany lights, and premium linens. Most have excellent views and some have private balconies that enhance your experience of those views. Rooms range from deluxe rooms to double or king rooms with or without balconies, as well as penthouse suites. All feature work desks, premium entertainment systems, large and private baths with signature toiletries and luxury fixtures, beverage centers, and sitting areas. The Allen Hotel is luxurious, offers a great location and provides a boutique experience any traveler will love.
