Location was great, clean modern room, breakfast was great and the staff working in the restautant were pleasant and helpful.
The customer service at the front desk was very poor. I booked two rooms. One was a single room for a male coworker and the other had two double beds for myself and another female coworker. I called and explained this and the front desk clerk got it wrong (male with a latino accent) and at first refused to check him into the correct room. Eventually he was allowed to check in. The second thing is that I paid for breakfast for both rooms on booking.com and they had no record on their system for it. I had to show proof and email it to them before they would give the vouchers. As a result my male coworker had to pay for breakfast on day one because I checked in late at night and I was not aware that he had been refused. The final thing was that the internet kept dropping so I spoke to the the lady at the front desk who connected me to the premium wifi and said it was complimentary. Based on how sloppy they were up to that point I decided to check and sure enough I was charged for it. Fortunately a young man named Jonathan was working at that time and he reversed it.
Great location, center of midtown Manhattan but the street is not busy. 2 blocks away from grand central station and many subway lines. numerous shops and restaurants nearby. staff were friendy and helpful. the hotel is brand new, the rooms are beautifully designed and although not large (is is New York after all) are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. the workout equipment is a nice touch. the shower is surprisingly large and nicely designed. The bed was wide and comfortable. a wonderful experience, and very good value for money.
The room and bathroom are neatly kept and have everything you need for a short stay
The TV wasn't really working well, had to have a visit from the handyman and still didn't work really well after that. And the mini-fridge in the room was just a fridge with no freezer component, which is a bit tricky when you've bought ice cream :-) But this is nitpicking. The place is just fine.
Very good location for the UN, spacious rooms.
The setup with lobby on the 2nd floor is a bit awkward
The staff were amazing ....the room was small, but clean and comfortable. We were a party of 3.
