The rental location isn’t where it says it is on apple maps or Google maps, the extra fees for being under 25 are extortionate for told it would be 28 euro a day for 3 days ended up costing me 258 euro for the 3 days nearly more than triple what I was originally told. There was no explanation as to how the drop off would happen it was simply a case of here’s your keys and here’s your car. The car itself I could not fault worked perfectly and was a pleasure to drive. The staff I spoke to were friendly enough I feel as though it is the system in which they use that is to blame.

We arrived early and our car was not ready. We were upgraded to a better car for a fee which included GPS/navigation. We drove to Amalfi and Pompeii. We might still be trying to navigate Naples. I don't recommend driving in Italy without navigation!! .

Pick up was easy and car was new and in a good shape. Drop off was stressful and upsetting, when the office tried to charge for non existent problems, including a 70 Euro charge they couldn't even explain ( "that's what the computer said..."). Eventually, due to much patience on our side, we were not charged, but left with the negative impression.

Cons: Location very hard to find, the hertz sign is in a building away from the actual hertz pickup desk in a completely different building. It took us 45 minutes to get our car.

Pros: Staff was great, car was good working order and exactly what we asked for
Cons: We returned the car 50 minutes after our allotted time (2:50pm instead of 2:00pm) because of unexpected traffic and we were charged an additional 100$ for an entire day. The staff says it’s automatic charge past 15 minutes in the computer. We are very upset.

Surprise!
Pros: The car was almost brand new and was very nice.
Cons: However, we did not receive the BMW 5-Series we reserved, but were required to provide TWO different credit cards that were each charged the full rental amount! Ridiculous! The only other card I had was a debit card which held my money hostage during my vacation. The staff was helpful, but this secret policy is terrible! In addition, price was higher than quoted in reservation.

Cons: The VW Up is a car with transmission issues as I found out by driving it up that Almalfi Coast roads and then by Googling it. An automatic that stalls and does not kick into gear especially in 2nd is scary uphill and on an autoroute. You should eliminate the car from your fleet. The pick up and drop off don't have much space and it was stressful. Then again Naples is a hectic and stressful city. I don't feel like I got a fair deal because of the fear of not being able to accelerate and count on the car to actually move especially in a place with so many very aggressive drivers.

Worst place to drop off a car.
Pros: Nothing - when I finally got to leave the car at the rental place.
Cons: No signs, employees could not be distinguished from the people on the street - no badges, shirts. Instructions inadequate - you don't drop off at the budget office, you drop off on the other corner of the building which can take up to 30 mins to get to by car because it's Napoli. Then, the process jumped from $268 (which was on the form at check in, and in line with what was promised on kayak) to 298 €!! That's $340. And kayak has no customer support and budget won't address this problem so I guess I will issue a charge back with my credit card company.

Needs better hours, and better drop off locations. More clarity!
Pros: The car. it was good.
Cons: The rep told us 3pm sunday the office closed, but in fact, it closed at 1pm. i think she mixed up 13:00 and 3:00 Anyway, the alternative hotel location was given, but there was no one there to do the check in check. so...a little unnerving to hand over your keys to someone.

Good car, poor rental agency location
Pros: The car was clean and worked fine. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: This agency is NOT at the airport. We had to take a taxi for 20 Euro to get the car, which took another 30 minutes, and then pay 14 Euro extra to be able to drop it off at the airport, which significantly increased the overall cost of the car. Very disappointed that this agency was presented as being at the airport.

Terrible experience!
Cons: The rental location was unexpectedly closed (Naples Central Station in Italy) and we couldn't get the car we booked or any other. At the last minute, we had to rent from another company and pay a premium. Stressful and bad experience!

We had not planned on hiring a car but circumstances changed and we needed one when we landed . I approached the desk to seek availability and got a yes for €350 a day which was ridiculous. I went on line and got the same car for €125 a day, when I went back to the desk with my confirmation number I was told I had to wait one hour for service even though there was no customers there at that time. One hour later the lady gave us the car but not without major drama about insurance and unlimited attempts to upsell us a different car and more insurance.

Very good customer service for pick up, very nice people, friendly and very helpful. Easy drop off as well. Good company, like. I only gave it bad rating in cleanliness and price. Little dirty inside and pretty dirty outside, seems like they just passed the vacuum cleaner after receiving it and that’s it. Great car though! Very comfortable, spacious, GPS, CarPlay and USB charger… But also crazy expensive 900 euros for 3 days…

Cons: I made a reservation for a Ford focus or similar sized vehicle. Sixt only had a Jeep Renegade available for me - a full sized SUV. I was driving on the Amalfi Coast thr next ř days and purposely booked with them to get a smaller vehicle when navigating the small roads there. I was told take it or leave it when I arrived at the check in counter

Pros: The two guys were really helpful. The best I've ever seen at a car rental desk. The woman was extremely disrespectful, with me and especially with other customers. She should not work with people. Not a good advertising for the company

Not what I expected
Cons: Firstly, I had wrote in to say I'd prefer a Mercedes or anything except for an alfa romeo and what I got in the end was an alfa. Also, I wasn't informed that I needed 2 credit cards for deposit ; one visa and one mastercard which I did not prepare beforehand which resulted in so much trouble and delay when I picked up the car at almost 12am. Utterly disappointed.

Terrible Service / No Lost and Found
Pros: The people did a quick check on the vehicle and processed the return quickly.
Cons: We left a very important item (an heirloom glass jar filled with sand) in the center console of the vehicle and when we called the drop-off location they were very rude about helping us find the item. Then we called back and they still were not helpful. It seems they did not look through the vehicle thoroughly and we have still not been able to recover the item.
