Many restaurants and shops in very easy walking distance, although there are stairs to navigate if you want to walk to the embaradero. Staff was friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast provided eggs, pancakes, oatmeal, etc., plenty of coffee.

Pros: Location
Cons: The bed was horrible. Couldn't sleep because it was hard, lumpy, you could hear the springs. It wasn't a queen size like stated it had to be a full size.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: No air conditioning. Room seemed over-priced for what we paid. Perhaps it was more costly because it was right before Labor Day weekend. Beds and accommodations were good but it was hot during the early evening. There was a fan in the closet to use. Would only stay there again if it was much cheaper. We have stayed at over 20 places in Morro over the years so we know what is available. Tried it because we hadn’t been there before.

Pros: Rooms were typical motel style rooms, but the bathroom area was large enough for two adults to get ready at the same time. Beds were shockingly comfortable and curtains made the room fantastically dark. My dad was a huge fan of make your own waffles, but options were limited beyond that. I did not use the pool facilities at this property.
Cons: Lots of noise came up through the heating vent, especially the seagulls on the roof. Breakfast room got quite messy towards the end of the breakfast window. The parking lot fills up quick and some of the spots are very awkward.

Cons: Would have been nice to have a ice machine on each floor and a soda vending machine. But even getting ice from the 3rd floor was fine
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A little more attention needs to be paid to cleanliness, rooms were good but not sure carpet was vaccumed daily. Patios needed deep cleaning on railings and floors. I know the difficulties hotels have keeping housekeeping staff but if you want a nice hotel you have to keep everything clean! Beds were comfortable with a nice selection of pillows of varying firmness were provided. Breakfast had eggs and sausage daily plus cereal, waffles and a selection of breads.

Cons: Furnishings a little old fashioned, but really just added to the charm of the hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was my husbands Birthday Weekend 64 years young. I mentioned the reason for our visit to Morro Bay to the young lady checking me in. My husband was in the car waiting for me to check in. She disappeared for a minute, came back with a Complimentary Bottle of Wine for us to enjoy and wrote him a very nice Birthday Wish on behalf of Ascot Suites. She even gave me the key before finishing the whole process so I could go up and leave the bottle as a surprise! Everything was beyond our expectations, close to our favorite restaurants, shops and water walk way.
Cons: Not a thing. It will be our regular place as we go to Morro Bay about 6 times a year, we're from the Central Valley.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was nice although I was led to believe we would have a fireplace in our room and we did not. Plenty of room in the bathroom, loved the double sinks and the tub, although it was hard to get hot water. Breakfast offered a nice selection. Convenient location.
Cons: Difficult to get hot water for a bath so couldn't use the jacuzzi tub. Also, there was a homeless person sleeping on the roof in the patio area when we went up to get a morning view of the Morro Rock.
7.5 Good
Pros: WE booked this at the last minute on a holiday weekend. It was just for one night. The location was excellent. Hot breakfast was included. We arrived at 11 pm. Although there isn't 24 front desk support. Our keys were placed in a lock box and they called with the code.
Cons: The hotel needs updating and probably could use a good deep cleaning. The carpets felt dirty...vacuumed but dirty. The balcony needed to be washed down and the furniture cleaned and straightened.

Pros: At breakfast, the eggs and sausage weren't very good. Coffee was great as were the pastries and cereal
Cons: There is no fan in the bathroom and the bathroom is tiny. The day I arrived was very warm. I had a west facing room that stayed very hot. The locking mechanism on the sliding glass door and screen door was broken which made me feel insecure. I kept the sliding door closed at night so was very hot. It would be nice if they had air conditioning. I know it isn't often needed, but it would be nice when it is.

Pros: Location was superb walking distance to beach and shops. Attending the Avocado Fest. Was close by.
Cons: 1. Owner allowed event goers outside to park on hotel paying customer parking lot. They should designate at least one stall per room . A lady circled and circled and had to park outside on street and so did we when we return from dinner. $243 night pricy stay but cozy. . Convenient location, room good clean. The service not the greatest the attendant told lady parking is not in my control, wow right. The Lobby was in need of upkeep repairs peeling paint on walls. I’m guessing a can of paint is about $50.00 wouldn’t hurt make presentable. On other hand flowers and landscape nice touch. I probably would stay again location is outstanding.
