Hotel Panoramic - Montepulciano - Bedroom
1
8.6 Excellent (2,010 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Montepulciano, Hotel Panoramic is in a rural location, within a 5-minute drive of Val di Chiana and San Biagio. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. 9.2 Excellent
Pros: Pretty place, all is perfect. Good classic italian breakfast without eggs)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is so so so warm-hearted. We cannot get down the hill for dinner so she brought us some. The view is breath-taking, the music in toilet, in the room is chilling and fantasic. I love this hotel so much, very high recommend.
Cons: Nothing!! Nothing at all.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room was huge and so gorgeous. The bathroom was big and the shower great. They are dog friendly too, which was so appreciated!
Cons: Nothing, it was great!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great value for the price.
Cons: There is no restaurant at the hotel, so you need to drive to the town for a dinner.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was the best value we encountered on our entire trip (Paris, Barcelona, Montepulciano, Lucca, Milan). For only 5 Euros the range of foods was good and they source local products (jams, honey, bread, cheeses and meats) which were uniformly excellent. That we got to eat out in the grounds overlooking the valley below was a special bonus. We really liked that they generate their own power from solar panels (something we didn't know until we had arrived). We had hired a car and were touring around Tuscany - the location of Panoramic was fantastic for that purpose and we thoroughly recommend it as a base.
Cons: The coffee by self-operated coffee-machines was a little disappointing (but not bad). A classier option would be to have plungers (IMHO). The room lighting was oddly set up (for us anyway - we arrived at night and found locating the switches and managing the lighting a bit of a challenge). The lights time out after a while leaving you a bit 'in the dark' if you are not close to a light switch!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: View, room, bathroom, breakfast, space
Cons: Complicated light system in the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great views over the Tuscan countryside. Close to the town. Facilities were great.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Simone was great! He explained all the details perfectly. Very welcoming, the facilities are great and super clean. Definitely a place to return and recommend.
Cons: The shower was a little difficult, as a tourist is very weird to use the bathtub.
6.3 Good
Pros: Overall location, breakfast was good, lobby and community space good
Cons: The room was very small and the noise from outside in the morning was loud.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice interior courtyard. Right off the main Piazza.
Cons: Really difficult to find how to get our car to the hotel-(basically in the center of Montepulciano). Google maps couldn't keep up. I should have asked for guidance from the hotel before I tried to drive in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
7.9 Good
Pros: Very good room rate.
Cons: Shower booth is too narrow. Noise from the bar until 3 am therefore impossible to sleep well.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fine. First room had no AC on hot day--not clear in the reservation. We got upgraded room with AC for E25+ more.
Cons: make it claer what is being reserved at the start shower so narrow one could hardly wash, and i'm not fat!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The free parking and location for a good price.

6.7 Good

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The property was a short walk from the train station and easy to access. The hosts were very friendly and customer service oriented.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We checked into this hotel as an emergency because we got stuck in the rain while on our motorbikes. It was outstanding in terms of convenience and value for money, but especially for the location, just off the motorway. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant in the hotel was great.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly personnel, hotel is perfect for people travelling on A1.
Cons: Nothing to report
2.9 Mediocre
Cons: No prior notice of important information (limited internet access in the room) / malfunction of heater in the cold weather and room phone to reception not working / no efforts to make up mistakes even though properly informed (not professional at all) - overall, very disappointed to their attitude - no intention to come back again
7.5 Good
Pros: A quiet, comfortable hotel straight off the highway & yet off the tourist beaten track. The staff were most friendly & helpful, especially since the hotel is a fair distance on foot from the station & 10km from Montepulciano with scarse public transport. Bruno was a gracious host who shared excellent advice on local wineries & sights to see. Breakfast, including an array of gluten free products, was ready from 6:30 which was perfect for an early start!
Cons: Beware of leaving food in your room. Our travels snacks attracted a colony of ants!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean room, comfortable bed, good breakfast,
Cons: The shower needs to be changed was splashing all over, the Ac was not giving cold aer.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: At a service station on the motorway so no need to come off. Lovely family run hotel. Very kind accommodating people. Good price for what it was. Had a great pizza there.
Cons: Slightly dated but good nonetheless.

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Borgo Tre Rose in Montepulciano, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Lake Trasimeno and Val di Chiana. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The views from the property were beautiful . The swimming pool was large and appealing.
Cons: The evening food offering was poor and more akin to a 2 star bus tour holiday destination . Wine was expensive - it is a winery !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, clean, good restaurant
Cons: Waiting coffee until 8am. I’m an early riser.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed the 4 days at Borgo TreRose really much. The food at the restaurant and breakfast is absolutely fantastic and the views are incredible! The staff is so friendly and helpful. We were lucky to get a room upgrade and loved our room and little balcony with an amazing view. The entire hotel area is beautifully maintained and set up with so much love and details. We would always come back and highly recommend this hotel!!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is super beautiful! Territory around is superb for photo and video. Very close to Montepulciano if you have a car
Cons: Sometimes there was a strong smell of manure!
7.1 Good
Cons: WiFi only available by the pool despite the website stating free WiFi available in all areas. Service misrepresented. Very annoying. Chicken covered in bread crumbs at dinner was literally raw. Double room 40 small with little cupboard space although my daughters room lovely and spacious with plenty of storage. Grounds and pool area beautiful. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Phone number on booking.com incorrect.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is amazing, the huge pool and the wonderful restaurant makes you wanna stay there for ever. The hotel complex is just like it's name says - a small village. It is the king of place you can spend weeks at! The staff was extremely helpful, from organizing wine tastings to helping us out with reservations to other programs. A must visit hotel if you are in Tuscany!
Cons: Due to a storm there was no wireless internet in the hotel - a little inconvinience but things like this can happen. Also, our room was supposed to be with a balcony, which turned out to be just a small seating area outside our door. But I guess if you stay in a tuscany-style building that is the closest to a balcony you can get, so it wasn't really a problem.
Palazzo Carletti - Montepulciano - Bedroom

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location, private, and very comfortable.
Cons: Very little. It was fantastic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful. The staff were discreet and professional.
Cons: The inquisitorial questions that booking.com succumb one to. If booking.com were out of the equation, the whole experience would have been better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Attention to every detail. An amazing hotel in a building which was over 800 years old. Owner was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast in a room with incredible luxury. Minibar in main room when ever you felt like having a cocktail. Superb stay in the charming town of Montepulciano!
8.3 Excellent

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, the atmosphere and the stuff.
Cons: The access to the palazzo.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location in the heart of Montepulciano. Beautiful palazzo with stunning frescos on walls and ceilings. Very warm welcome from Roberto and delicious regional breakfast. A very special authentic experience.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Enrico was an excellent host. Breakfast was amazing. The vaulted painted ceilings in the room were beautiful.
Cons: Coffee could have been hotter. As always, no night light so we had to leave the bathroom light on all night. We didn’t realize that the majority of retail was on an opposite side of town until the last day. Parking is outside the wall but fairly easy if you can walk the steep slope.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow - have never stayed in anything so unique. A genuine Palazzo. Great welcome by staff and information about the area with excellent food recommendations too. Was mesmerised by fresco on roof of our room. Bathrooms are modern. This hotel provides a memorable stay and wonderful experience. Every room is different but all are special.
Cons: Like hotels in any hilltop Italian town - not easy to reach but staff couldn't be more helpful to assist - directing us right to the door and alerting local police to our short term unloading of bags out the front before we moved our car to the nearby hotel parking space.
7.7 Good
Pros: Hotel was a great find. Great location, very comfortable and exceptional service.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: You feel like you are staying in a palace, with ornate room furnishings and high frescoed ceilings. 9.2 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The guy who was always at the front desk and who helped with breakfast (I didn't catch his name) was SO nice and extremely helpful! He showed us places to eat in many of the surrounding villages and a place to get a good view and take a picture. There was a good breakfast and they serve you cappuccino, hot chocolate, espresso, or whatever you want. We had to leave at 2:30 in the morning and he even packed us a breakfast to go that we could eat in the car. The place was very clean and the room was decorated well. Everything looked very nice. Comfortable beds too.
Cons: I have nothing bad to say about my stay there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place and very friendly people! I'm a coeliac and I asked for a glutenfree breakfast - this was no problem and absolutely delicious!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Family run with attention to detail. Very clean and in a great spot. Restaurant a hundred metres away was fantastic. Rooms are spacious with a balcony.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a three story hotel, very clean, with large rooms. They have a parking area where you can park right by the property. Bathroom is very clean and high end (like all bathrooms in Italian hotels/B&B). The gentleman at the front desk made us feel right at home, along with the lady. The gentleman noticed that I had a flat tire and he pull a heavy compressor (not the portable one we usually have with our car in the U.S.), and pumped air for me before my check out, (and got his hands dirty, not mine). It was unexpected, and very nice of him to do that. If he didn't notice and tell me the flat tire problem I would be in trouble further down the road on my long drive to Amalfi coast, possibly need help in the middle of A1, which would be very bad. The breakfast was great, very colorful and plenty of great espresso and variety of delicious items. I even learnt a few more Italians from them. Nearby the gentleman recommended us a fantastic restaurant where we had Tuscany steak and "Lemoncillo". Really love the place, and would stay again. Thank you!
Cons: None
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice family hotel , good location and people around yuo
Albergo San Biagio - Montepulciano - Building
8
8.4 Excellent (385 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Montepulciano, Albergo San Biagio is in a rural location, within a 15-minute walk of Val di Chiana and San Biagio. Featured amenities include express check-in, luggage storage, and an elevator. Free self parking is available onsite.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing! This place is horrible. Stay away!
Cons: Do not stay here! If I could give it negative stars I would. The staff is rude and wholly unaccommodating. The hotel is dirty not updated and trust me the pictures on the website are not representative. The fact that this place holds itself out as 3 stars and even has Michelin stickers on the window is false advertising at best. My advice stay away!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really helpful and kind, breakfast was abundant and rooms super comfortable. Parking is also fantastic and very convenient!
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good location with free parking. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfy and quiet. Very good breakfast.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean, accessible, welcoming, friendly staff.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very good. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was well equipped be it rather small. The breakfast buffet was complete. There is ample parking space. Nearby (road to Chianciano, 10 minutes by foot) there is a very lively bar which serves all kind of aperitivos and tapas for free and an adjacent pizzeria / rosteria. A bit further down same road there is the restaurant Il Covo which serves delicious food and wines.
Cons: To enter the hotel one has to climb several stairs, an inclined plane would facilitate things. (luggage) Although the city center of Montepulciano is only about 1000 mtrs away, the walk includes a steep climb of about 600mtrs. However here is a bus stop just next to the hotel which takes one to the city center. It is an experience on itself. It is a pity that the hotel is not selling tickets as the drivers do not like to sell same on the bus and as, when bought on the bus the fare doubles from 1.20 to 2.40 EUR.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and practical hotel in a fantastic position and with great, internal facilities.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast very good, bed very comfortable. Room very clean. No
Cons: No kettle in room. No Irish whiskey in bar. Steeps bit steep going up to reception

8.5 Excellent
Pros: Good location - not right in the center of things, but an easy walk. Staff was exceptionally helpful. Good parking, clean rooms. Good breakfast (see cons, though).
Cons: It's nice to have a mini-fridge in the room, esp. for longer stays. They should really just build the price of breakfast into the room rate so you don't have to mess with paying separately.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice with an excellent view of the hills.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location. The staff.
Cons: The breakfast was a bit plain. No hot breakfast.

Pros: Very conveniently placed right on the entrance of the old town. The staff was very helpful despite their very limited English. They registered our car and gave us a free parking spot right in front of the hotel. Our room was comfortable and spacious enough for four people. Much more tasteful than the pictures too.
Cons: No elevator.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was simply perfect for "sweet eaters". Parking available is a super + for being in city centre.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was nice, big, clean, with beautiful view. Great shower and a bath good breakfast

Pros: The location was fantastic, right at the entrance to the city, the owners and staff were very kind and helpful, and the hotel has an old world charm that felt embracing. I loved the breakfast buffet each morning with coffee and eggs made to order. Super value staying here. And request a room with a balcony! Mine was amazing, had beautiful valley views. I will stay here again next year.
Cons: Nothing

Very spacious Staff is great. Breakfast outstanding

Pros: Best place to stay in the Montepulciano area
Cons: Not very easy to find
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We knew the hotel was a few miles from Montepulciano when we booked it, and that was fine. Access to the city the next day was easy. We were greeted upon arrival, shown to our room and offerred dinner reservations as it was quite late in the afternoon. The room was basic, but had all the necessities and was clean. We were afraid we might be disturbed in late evening or early morning by guests in the hallway; we were not. There was no noise. Although we did not have dinner at the hotel, they appeared quite busy with both guests and locals. The next morning, we were again greeted and invited to a lovely and generous breakfast selection and offered our breakfast beverages. It was a beautiful day and we had our breakfast on the terrace, then walked the garden. We did not have an opportunity to use the pool, but I'm sure it would have been welcome had we stayed another day. Checkout was quick and easy. Friendly faces always. It was a great value. We would stay again and recommend to others.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast adequate
Cons: Eggs were not out early enough. Perhaps boiled eggs would solve the problem. Mouldy smell in bathroom, shower/enclosure needs a redo.

Cons: nothing

Cons: The AC did not work and they did not change the room and did not fix the AC. It was very hot time. The hose and room was little out dated. It is definitely not advisable to take dinner. The menu was bad. The bathroom was very small.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Roberto and Vittoria were excellent hosts! They were very kind and attentive, and the breakfast was great. The room was large and the WiFi worked well. It was a bit of a hike from the bus station so my recommendation would be to take the bus that runs through town to make the walk a bit easier, but I wouldn't change a single other thing about the stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host and hostess, Robert and Victoria were amazing. They made our stay so pleasant. The hotel is in a fantastic location in the city.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious; croissants, jam, Italian meats, juice, cappucino, fruits, etc. Roberto and his wife do a great job of greeting you, making you feel like family, and delivering a great breakfast. Roberto was super friendly and helpful. He met us in a parking lot and had us follow him into the property of this very steep, walled city, which has limited parking. He could not have been more helpful or welcoming. The location was amazing....right in the heart of Montepulciano.
Cons: It was hard to find the hotel, but Roberto was a big help with that.

Pros: The location is gorgeous and the pool was lovely. Very beautiful rooms.
Cons: Check in was a bit formal and we weren't expected so early. No restaurant on site and the place is cut off so we had to go back out for food. We needed more fans or a way to cool the room as it was quite warm inside.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: After a long day of travel and a late check-in to the last room, we were just hoping for a hot shower and comfortable bed. What a delight to find we were shown to a literal Treehouse in the olive grove of Villa Cicolina, a quintessential luxury italianate property complete with trompe l’oiel, secret gardens and an infinity pool with views across the Tuscan countryside. The newly completed Treehouse is a contemporary design of wood, concrete, steel and glass that cantilevers out over the sloping olive grove with private views in 3 directions. The interior space was exceptional with a more than comfortable King size bed, fireplace, rainshower, deep bath with its own full length window and a deck with a view forever. We were enchanted. The perfect contemporary ‘couples getaway’ with added advantage of a full Tuscan Villa experience complete with delicious homemade breakfast of tortes, jams, breads and pastries, fruits, and one of the best Cappuccino forte’s I have had in Italy. Book this now because it is exceptional! 11/10!
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff were EXCELLENT. Location fantastic, very beautiful property.
Cons: Restaurant closed, pool closed - we were not aware of this when we booked and for the price we thought we should have been told aspects like this prior on booking.com when pre paying... (be told via booking.com)

Served outside in the sunshine overlooking the vineyard with a beautiful view of Montepulciano in the background and Isolina went out of her way to cater for my partner who is vegetarian.
Thank you!

Pros: Amazing views to Montepulciano from the balcony! The room decorated in the Toscany way makes you feel the climate of the region. Very nice owner. The room was very clean. Unusually for Italy, there was something beside sweets for the breakfast
Cons: A fridge in the room could be useful.

Pros: Had been here in 2011 and most happy to see the same wonderful hostess again. Stayed at the detached villa this time and were super happy - spacious rooms, modern bathroom, a great place also to stay with a family. Montepulciano is only 5 mins away, but this place is calm and easily accessible from the highway to Pienza. Will be back!

Pros: Very conveniently placed right on the entrance of the old town. The staff was very helpful despite their very limited English. Cons: No elevator.
