Nice stay. Second time here. Ac dorms. Clean. Small fridge and little kitchen. Near to the beach.
Very close to Mirissa beach, banks, city food and so on. In particular, mihindu helped me whenever I needed and I would stay at the Hangover Hostel again if I visit Mirissa again.
The hostel is right by the main road, so lots of noise. There are also big parties nearby, so if you stay at the hostel when there’s a big party right across the road, you probably won’t be sleeping until 3-4..
There is a young 23 old student in the reception which is very friendly. Located directly in front of the beach.
It was the dirtiest hostel I have ever been. Full rubbish bin for all my stay. Bathroom looked like it was not cleaned in 2020. So many insects in the room. No mosquitonets. Sand everywhere. No cleaning at all. Bed was not ready when I arrived. Then they did it very fast. Locker was broken, didn't open anymore. Had to change it at night. The hostel is on a super noisy street and for my stay there was loud music until 3 in the night. Horrible stay. Cannot recommend it.
Easy to find, good location. Enough showers and bathrooms! Clean bed. Rooftop hangout spot which can be nice when with a group of people!
Some people have mentioned this before, but even though it’s called hangover they don’t sell any beer. But have patience, they are working on getting a license for it.. in the mean time, there is a shop not far where everyone buys their drinks
