Great location. Gorgeous design. Very comfortable rooms
Plugs in the room are terrible. Stylish and not functional
Lovely old refurbished building with great beds!
Lots of things to like here. Rooms were great, front desk staff was really great as well - they heard an offhand comment about it being my and my husband's anniversary and sent wine to the room. The hotel is in a good area for visitors to the city. (Although it is across the street from a strip bar. Guess it is a holdover in a gentrifying neighborhood?) Lobby area is spacious. Has a hip and stylish feel.
This hotel is just a notch or two from where it could be. Wine selections are terrible upstairs. You cannot get food between 2-5 at their restaurant. Bar menu does not have anything remotely healthy (not even a simple salad) Constant events mean that guests cannot use facilities and the staff is less than gracious about it. These aren't big deals, but they are they type of things that separate good from great in a hotel.
The beds were a little soft for me, otherwise it was perfect
The room was great, the atmosphere was amazing. We enjoyed the bathroom and decor.
Bed was uncomfortable and made a lot of noise.
Hewing Hotel is a century-old brick-and-timber warehouse in Minneapolis’s historic North Loop district. It has been redesigned into a truly unique 124-room and 14-suite hotel that offers travelers an authentic Minneapolis experience.
The Hewing is like stepping back into the 1800s with a rooftop pool and sauna, plus comfortable bedding. The recent renovation managed to retain the industrial chic vibe in a very modern style with a mix of heavy wood beams and brick, modern décor and all modern conveniences. Accommodations include king or double queen beds with SERTA Sapphire mattresses, luxurious linens, private bar, and free Wi-Fi. However, each room and suite is slightly different and offers a unique perspective on the hotel’s history and charm.
In addition to resting exceptionally in a high-class room, guests also have amazing amenities at their fingertips. The wood-burning grill and oven at the on-site restaurant, Tullibee, offers rustic Nordic cuisine and classic craft cocktails. The hotel offers year-round rooftop experiences with a bar, sauna, and spa pool. There is also a 24-hour fitness center, business amenities, pet-friendly amenities, and spa services.
Located in the North Loop, Hewing Hotel is located within walking distance to one of the best shopping districts in the Twin Cities. Food lovers can indulge in the many award-winning restaurants and bars, while other attractions such as the Mississippi River, theaters, parks, Target Center, and Target field are nearby. For further exploring, mass transit is also only steps away.
Travelers and locals alike can agree that the rustic décor and unique dishes severed at Tullibee make Hewing Hotel a destination for anyone looking to bring the backwoods to the big city.
