Room was tidy
Staff. Need to be more customer friendly
great design and location spoiled by rude hosts
great location downtown near stadium. close to bus and train lines. we'll designed modern interior
rude staff that acted exactly how you would expect at an upscale hotel: snobby and rude. no parking.
The contemporary decoration and ambiance was welcoming and fun.
Great value, location. Small well designed rooms
This is our go to place for a weekend in Minneapolis. Great location near Guthrie Theatre and river. Rooms are small but very well designed.
Convenient to Downtown Minneapolis
Aloft Minneapolis is convenient to the light rail and bus lines. It is an easy walk to the business district. Close to the Guthrie Theater, Gold Medal Park, and the Mill City Museum. Check out Izzie's for ice cream. Hot breakfast sandwiches are available to order in the morning.
There are no ice machines on the room floors. You have to go down to the lobby.
Friday Night at Aloft
We thought Aloft had a great location-- we had a great view of the new Minnesota Vikings stadium and there were plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The setup of the room is very modern and there were plenty of amenities available to us. Very cool atmosphere!
The bathroom facilities were not all that private-- our sliding door did not shut all the way, and the door also doubled as a full-body mirror, which made getting ready a bit awkward, to say the least. There was also an opaque window in the shower that opened up into the bedroom-- we found that to be a little bit odd.
Thin walls. You can hear everything from the other side of the hotel
My phone did not work.
Great all around
The modern room design really works. Both room and hotel overall were attractive and comfortable.
The cleanser & shampoo dispensers could use a tray below them to catch drips & avoid slippery spots on shower floor.
Gives you just what you need.
Aloft is a great chain for affordable reasonably sized rooms. I like the bar downstairs and the facilities are great for a hotel in this price range. The only small issue with this location was the lack of information about the parking before we arrived, you have to use the public parking lot which is subject to event day increases!
Quirky with great location but inconsistent staff
Location and style.
Check in welcome was well...less than welcoming or informative.! A surly member of staff who appeared completely absent and disinterested. Yet, other staff were fantastic. Unfortunately our first impression was lasting. Such a shame. Would we return? For sure.
Modern and comfortable
Nice modern room. Great design and lay out. Nice view.
First staff member that helped us was very rude and incredibly unhelpful. Fortunately he passed us off on another employee that was very nice and made up for the previous staff members awful service.
The staff are young, hip and friendly. Plus they have giant Connect Four! They have a shuttle; we didn't use it, but it's a nice feature.
Don't buy food from their little market (as cute and convenient as it is). There is a market down the street where you don't pay $3.00 for a soda.
Very clean and cool, not overly trendy but sharp, and the gal at the front desk went above and beyond the call of duty to help me track down my lost luggage from the airline.
Rachel...fantastic service
Nope - booking.com maybe. Never got a email copy of my reservation. Thank goodness I've stayed at the property before, and there was no trouble.
