The location was very good, relatively quiet area yet close to the most popular spots in South Beach. Also, only few steps to the beach. Two beach chairs and an umbrella are included with the resort fee. The beach was nice, however as it seems to be the case in SoBe, no facilities, no concessions. The poor rating isn't for the hotel. The poor rating is for Travelero - the site that cancelled my booking after Kayak confirmed it.
Pros (+) The location was excellent. It was close to the areas I wanted to visit. The hotel had the art deco charm I was looking for. Check in was really easy, more hotels should adopt this technique.
Cons (-) The walls were paper thin. I heard housekeeping knock on the neighboring doors in the morning. Outside of that, the stay was great.
Pros (+) excellent staff. very clean. nice breakfast buffet for $14/person. wonderful location
Cons (-) no noise cancellation.
Pros (+) Nothing
Cons (-) I've stayed in hotels for the past 25 years. This was one of my worst experience. My room had 2 queen sized beds and it was the smallest room I've ever seen. After fitting 2 queen beds there was no space left to even walk. Smallest side tables which can not be used for anything. Small closet, the doors of which won't open. Miniscule bathroom. They charge $10 resort fee per day which includes towel...

Pros (+) Nice rooms, great staff
Cons (-) They made us pay a resort fee per night that was not optional. Unfortunately it rained our entire trip, so we could not use the beach chairs or towels, but I was still charged anyway. ALSO. There is no pool. It is very misleading because it stated there was, but it is not built yet.
