The size of the room, the friendliness of the staff and the location
The hotel is currently under renovation and has none of the facilities advertised, the carpet was dirty, and the soundproofing was terrible, I could not even recognise the hotel as there is no facade as it is being built, inhad to enter via a car park at the side if the building and I am glad that I took a taxi as I would never have found it
Location was fantastic! Staff were great. Rooms were comfy and nice.
The entire front lobby/desk/everything was under reconstruction. Hugh mess. Disconcerting. Heavy equipment operated during the day,,, boom, boom, etc
The rooms were very nicely renovated, except for the shower head which clashed against the glass door when you open it. The bed was super confy and all seemed new inside the room.
The hoyel was ubder construction so certain ammenities were not available and that was not specified anywhere. Also the entrance is unmarked and from the outside it seemed like it was just another building being renovated. Also, one day we came back in the night the alternate entrance through the garage was closed and we had tl yell through the plastic in the entrance to get someone to open for us. Not very safe to hang out in the middle of the night while they come and open. Finally, we had very noisy and drunk neoghbours and the staff did nothing to quiet them down.
Location was good. No breakfast or morning coffee. The room was nice.
Virtually impossible to take an afternoon siesta from sightseeing all morning. The hammering, drilling, and construction noise was terrible. The final straw was the last four days of my stay, paint/ solvent or adhesive fumes flooded my room to the point where my eyes would water. It took almost an hour each afternoon-, with the window open, a/c on full blast and the bathroom fan on to clear the fumes. I made the terrible mistake of staying out one night until 1 am, only to be woken up at 8 am the next morning with the construction crew blaring the radio music and sledge hammering, seemingly right outside or above my room. Will not ever stay at this place again. One small elevator, construction on the stairwells. Management and or owner is highly incompetent to be renting rooms during a major renovation. It was my first time to Mexico city and paid in full on arrival. I should've just found another hotel. The lobby, front of the hotel is completely under construction, as well as many floors. Must enter through the parking lot, sometimes, squeezing in between parked cars. Construction was sporadic, but mostly from 8 am until after 6pm daily, The room was cleaned thoroughly daily, but the rest of the hotel was full of construction debris and dust. Put a damper on my vacation, but thoroughly enjoyed exploring the wonderful city.
Location is quite good with walking distance to districts of Center, Polanco, Roma, etc
Teenagers staying next door being extremely loud and it respectful. We couldn’t sleep till until midnight! Felt like staying in a student housing. On top of this, the hotel is on reconstruction so the lobby is one big mess.. The room was fine but nothing special. I expected better from seeing pictures on booking.com....
