the location was so dangerous that i could not attend the property. my cab driver would not let me out. gringo no go.
Wifi in all the building, cafeteria 24/7 at the ground floor and free coffee station at the lobby 24/7; was enough clean.
It doesn't have window to open. The room was all the time closed with no air conditioner or something to recycle the air.
The hotel has a great view from my room.
WiFi didn't work at all. And the shower was cold. The two things I want from a hotel.
The wifi works really well, and the showers always had hot water. While the location is dangerous, it's also very central and near to a central station (San Antonio). The fan in the room worked well. When we decided to check out early, the staff member who assisted us was helpful and apologetic that we hadn't enjoyed our stay. Luckily Booking.com was really helpful too, and we were able to get our money back for the 10ish days we didn't stay there (minus a credit card fee). It's also nice that it's so cheap, but you can find places in safer neighborhoods that are similar prices.
The main complaint here is that the location is incredibly dangerous, especially as a foreign visitor. All of the locals we met during our trip were shocked we were staying in such a sketchy area. Uber drivers were hesitant to even drop us off there at night. There are homeless people doing drugs all around the vicinity, and we were catcalled every time we left the hotel. The area is in the heart of the city, so there's crazy traffic around all the time, and it's LOUD. We could barely sleep because of all the loud music, people yelling, etc. The food at the restaurant was poor, and it was difficult to find many other good restaurants in the area, too. Not only was the food poor, the restaurant is open to the street. We got stared at and called to every time we were eating there, and one time over dinner literally watched two homeless men fighting over a bag of trash a few feet away. Our room had cockroaches, we found about 6 or 7 in the few days we stayed. The staff was incredibly unhelpful. We were given no information about room service, how to get our room cleaned, laundry, etc, so our room was never serviced, the sheets never changed. And the room was very stuffy so this got pretty gross. We ended up checking out about 10 days early because the place was literally ruining our experience of Medellin. Every other area of the city was nicer. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
