Pros: After traveling the world, and visiting so many wonderful places, I must say that there are few places were you can find Luxury with Soul. This is the magic that Alfonso, Livia, Mario and Ernesto Iaccarino have created. Since the moment you walk in you feel welcomed by everybody, we visited Don Alfonso 1890 with our 2 daughters and This is an experience we will never forget. The rooms are absolutely beautiful with all the details being taken into account. The food is proper of the 2 starts Michelin restaurant they have, you will live the truly wonderful experience of the Italian magic, and I would say it is a must you make reservations for dinner in their restaurant. All food is organic and comes from the family property. The wine Cellar is not only beautiful, built in an Etruscan tunnel thousands of years old but it has infinite options for the most demanding palate The family is just beautiful, and they are there taking care of all the details and the personnel is so well trained that no details are left aside. We hand a wonderful time, they are wonderful ambassadors of Italy, I’m sure we will come back. Thank you, Iaccarino family!!! One more: they have amazing cooking classes! Do not miss them

Pros: Awesome location
Cons: Thought the bathrooms were too small
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Views amazing and staff wonderful
Cons: The concierge had no clue We asked about boat trips and days out. He said not boat trips available! We found two options for the next day in minutes! We asked about a private car to take us to Vesuvius and wine tasting he said not possible! We found someone ourselves in minutes. Basically and unfortunately at the front desk they have zero local knowledge
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location & excellent hotel for dining & relaxing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean. Comfortable and the most amazing view over Capri.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Breathtaking view of Capri. Swimming in rocky bay Was unmatched. EXcellent food in hotel restaurant. Hotel property was great although small. Overall, a great place to be
Cons: Rooms were a bit outdated. Some stylish renovation would help
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We chose this hotel as the last leg of our journey for rest and relaxation after visiting Rome and Naples prior to our arrival. This hotel certainly gave us that, and the views from our rooms were spectacular with Capri a short boat ride away. Although this hotel is quite a distance from Sorrento town, the shuttle bus was an excellent feature. We found Luca and the reception desk team very helpful and the waiters in all areas were very efficient.
Cons: Our rooms had small refrigerators that were stocked with chargeable items, but the leaflet in the room, stated that should guests put anything in the fridge, that was not purchased at the hotel, these would be removed. Now this appeared to include bottles of water that we may well have purchased while out, and therefore we could not keep them cool in the fridge, so rather than run the risk of them being removed, we just left them out on the side. We did feel that this was a bit harsh. I would be interested to hear other guests thoughts.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the view and the aspect
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The view is just sensational looking over Capri. So it's definitely worth getting an ocean view room. The rooms are clean, comfortable and modern. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and make you feel very welcome. We loved the buffet breakfast - the setting is in a gorgeous room with an amazing view. The hotel is approx 15 minutes bus ride to Sorrento which is complementary through the hotel and runs on a timetable. Wasn't too fussed on room service. Expensive and 12 euro for delivery. Over all it's just a beautiful hotel and would highly recommend it to others. Thank you for having us. It was a memorable stay.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: To far away, you need a car to get there.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Loved the peace and quiet. Loved the swimming in the cove below the grounds reachable by stairway steps. Loved the view. Loved the outdoor restaurant.
Cons: Can’t think of anything except the room could have been vaccuumed a bit better.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful sea views across to Capri and access via steps to private cove. Hotel attractively decorated and bedroom large and comfortable with balcony. Convenient regular free shuttle to Sorrento. Excellent restaurant. All staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Not much to criticise but shower was over bath and would have preferred a walk in.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: For us this place was a serendipitous discovery! What didn’t we like about this place? The modern, but not intrusively provocative design, giving experience of comfort, warmth, cleanliness and beauty! Our suite, especially considering the local standards and practices, was spacious, very well appointed with comfortable furniture and provided with a good wardrobes space. There was a coffee machine with sufficient ponds of nice coffee (ILLY) - particularly after request - even for coffee “addicts” like us. (Not to mention the excellent coffee at the garden bar!) The cleanliness and maintenance of the room were exceptional! The views were stunning and the quiet environment was a pleasant surprise. And yet, one is not isolated. Massa Lubrense is only 7-8 minutes walk away; Sorrento is 20 minutes by car and Capri - opposite - can be easily visited on a day trip from the nearby port. We could not believe how fortunate we were to avoid the hassle and crowds of Sorrento, and yet to be so comfortably close to anywhere on the Costa Amalfitana. The staff were kind, helpful, friendly, easy going but not intrusive or over-familiar. Highly professional at the best standards! Even before we arrived we experienced their helpfulness. They organised for us the transport from Naples Airport to the hotel, at better prices than what is available on line or at the airport. (I did check!) Similarly, on request they offer various options to explore the area, again using local companies offering competitive rates. With two words, it was a joy to interact with the staff, for whom nothing was too much! The hotel has two restaurants. One, with the garden next to the pool offers more traditional, classical cuisine. The setting is very pleasant and the food is indeed good. The other restaurant - Terrazza Fiorella - is the place where breakfast is offered. Again the views are fantastic - the Bay of Naples, Capri, Ischia, Vesuvius!
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, pool area and the black truffle linguine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect service and lovely place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about it was perfect. It was a nice calm, private, location, still a short walk/drive to popular tourist locations. The staff at the hotel treated us like royalty from the moment we arrived. They were interested in how we were doing during our stay but made sure to give us our privacy. One of the best hotels I have stayed at, hope to visit again!
Cons: It would be amazing if they would add a coffee menu to the pool, with both hot and cold coffee options.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant was so delicious that it can be compared with Michelin star places. Surprisingly the prices in the menu are not expensive at all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, welcoming from the moment we arrived. Sky bar at sunset is amazing.
Cons: Nothing. Tea and coffee in rooms would be a nice extra but could live without it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful boutique hotel just outside Sorrento. It has a beautiful restaurant with Il Cantuccio in Massa Lubrense well worth visiting too! Nice pool, rooms and services, great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a beautiful hotel! The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. Our room was bright and airy and the bed was so comfortable. We stayed for 3 nights at the end of our honeymoon and we arrived to a bottle of prosecco in our room, which was a lovely gesture. We are a couple of times in both the restaurant and the pool bar and the food was excellent. Thank you for a lovely stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful views. Great breakfasts and dinner.
Relais Blu - Massa Lubrense - Bedroom

9.3 Excellent (410 reviews)

With a stay at Relais Blu in Massa Lubrense, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Gulf of Naples and Sorrento Peninsula. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was the second time I stayed at Relais Blu. It was 6 years ago when I first visited the hotel. The reason I stayed here again is, it offers a very relaxing place after the hectic travel to Amalfi and Sorrento . The location of the hotel is just near Sorrento. The open area for drinks offers beautiful views of Capri, Ischia and Naples. You can enjoy beautiful sunset views during the evening drinks and dinner at the open area. This time, there is a bonus that the new swimming pool was constructed 3 years ago. We enjoyed a relaxing afternoon in the swimming pool. Further, the rooms are now refurbished and our junior suite room is just so wonderful and comfortable and spacious. The food in the restaurant is as super as before. The staff, facilities and location are all the best. It is a good place for you to relax a day or two in between travel along the Amalfi coast. Highly recommended. Will definitely go back.
Cons: Nothing. All are good.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The quality and variety of food offered was excellent. As we were there for a celebratory stay, it was lovely to have the option of prosecco with any of the fruit juices at breakfast! The pool area was stunning, difficult to leave. We had an early start on the day we left and were kindly provided with a breakfast selection to take away with us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely stunning staff and hotel were amazing!
Cons: Nothing!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The view, the stylish interiors, the infinity pool, both restaurants, the spa facilities and the staff - it was amazing. The room was also lovely and we wish we had stayed longer to make the most of it, one night is not enough!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The view from the pool, sadly the rest of the property is a little tired
Cons: Property is tired, lumpy duvet and mould on the bathroom ceiling
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staffs were most courteous and helpful...made us feel very welcomed.
Cons: Couldn’t think of anything...it was quite perfect!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff and facility exceeding all expectations on both counts.
Cons: Nothing I didn’t like.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Best food and best view
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was superb. The facilities were great. The staff were very helpful and professional. The food was excellent.
Cons: The TV service was very local and could have had more international English-based contact - a small complaint given the overall excellence of the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property, amazing views, amazing food, wonderful and friendly staff. Absolutely perfect. Highly recommend!!
Cons: Nothing. Everything was spectacular.
Locanda Del Capitano - Massa Lubrense - Bedroom
6
9.4 Excellent (92 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Locanda del Capitano in Massa Lubrense, you'll be by the sea, just steps from Sorrento Peninsula and a 5-minute drive from Recommone Beach. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This lovely family run small hotel is right on an easy to access beachfront just north of the Amalfi. There were many more locals than tourists in Nerano and lots of dining options.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Locanda del Capitano is a little gem located right on the beach. What I liked was their service, and the fact that is a family owned business. Not to mention that it has a 1 Micheline star restaurant downstairs with an amazing view. Totally worth every penny you spend in there, a MUST try!
Cons: Really hard to find something we didn't like. Everything was perfect! My only advice If I were the owner of the property I would invest along with all other businesses on the beach front, in a net blocking the dirt from coming to the shore. The bay gets very crowded at lunch time and boats dump their waste in the water! I would protect the shore with something preventing from this to happen, because unfortunately we could enjoy a nice swim only in the early morning or late afternoon.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Perfect view from the room, excellent breakfast!
Cons: The walls are very thin, you could here everything from the other room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was so accommodating...breakfast was fabulous...right on the beach.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent with bars and restaurants nearby. The apartment design was great with a huge bathroom and spa bath. Staff at the hotel and surrounding bars were really friendly and helpful.
Cons: It seems to be the way with European accommodations that showers tend to be a bit small or an afterthought. Nights can be noisy with the bars - you can exclude the noise by closing the doors to the landing but then you lose the ambience of the sounds of the sea. Just a caution, that's all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and great service
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was blissful, a little bit of paradise
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: For me personally I like more authentic Italian cuisine, although our owner/chef is a superb individual, I think the food and the presentation becomes an experience, maybe not to everyone’s taste. Top marks for presentation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet & friendly
Cons: All perfect
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A lovely family hotel with continental breakfast, bedroom with balcony right on the beach, beautiful view location superb but public transport ie buses not frequent enough and taxis are very expensive
Cons: There was nothing not to like.
6.0 Good
Pros: The standard of hotel , room, restaurant was excellent - especially state of decor and cleanliness
Cons: When asking for a pot of tea we were told the staff were too busy - go outside to the next cafe !!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: One of my favorite hotels. Located on the beach, with great sea-view. Room modest but comfortable. Best restaurant inside, try home made pasta with sea food.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful; great location with fantastic views. Staff very friendly and helpful
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The personel is wounderful. Really kind and helpful. They’re easy to reach by phone, for example to book or reschedule the shuttle bus. The shuttle service into Sorrento is perfect, with a neat and comfortable bus. They can give you all the information you need if you want to visit surrounding cities like Napoli, Pompei or the island Capri. The pool is beautiful and the service there (food/drinks) is perfect and there are nice showers outside with adjustable heat to clean before/after swimming.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Really beautiful location ontop of the hills overlooking Sorrento. The infinity pool is beautiful and overlooks the valley below. The staff were really nice and helpful to us during our stay, they gave us good information about the facilities and local area.
Cons: The bed and aircon wasnt that great, I found the bed a bit too hard. The location, although it had stunning views was a little bit secluded - however there was a free shuttle bus but you have to stick to the schedule.
7.0 Good
Pros: The views were absolutely amazing. Service from the staff was different class compared to the other hotels we stayed in. The two ladies on the front desk were amazing and could not do any more to help you.
Cons: The amazing view was only matched by a Breakfast which was unfortunately pretty poor. They had no signage saying what the food was. The pool is amazing but absolutely freezing which means you can only spend no longer than 5 minutes in it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view is incredible! The staff is kind and helpful The hotel is beautiful The best part - the breakfast, the best breakfast we had in italy If you don’t have to be right at the beach, this is a great option just above Sorrento, they also have shuttles to and from Sorrento
Cons: I cant think of anything!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, out of the huddle and bustle of Positano yet the free shuttle provided easy access. Rooms comfortable, good service. Lovely food in the restaurant. Motel a nice size with good facilities.
Cons: At Ike’s when functions where on, the privacy around the pool for staying guests could have been improved
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The views were spectacular and the venue offered an excellent breakfast. The front desk personnel were helpful when needed.
Cons: Our room was quite small particularly since our stay was five days.... the room did not have any chest/drawers to put small items ie underwear, sundries, etc. The room did not have a small light for nighttime trips to toilet. Also, The hotel Did not have staff/anyone on arrival or checkout to assist with baggage. Considering the location without safe pedestrian walkways to town, restaurants the shuttle/transportation could be extended to evenings
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The pool area & views were amazing.
De Maria House Bed & Breakfast - Massa Lubrense - Building

Overview Reviews
With a stay at De Maria House Bed & Breakfast in Massa Lubrense, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Piazza Tasso and Corso Italia. Featured amenities include express check-in and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.9 Good
Pros: Lovely homely friendly family welcome beautiful outlook and food
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It is located within relative short driving distance from near by attractions. The room was clean ,large and comfortable. They have private parking which is very important . Good breakfast . Helpful staff gave us a lot of tips. Overall excellent place highly recomended .
Cons: It was all good.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are very nice, very clean, big enough and every day you received new towels. Breakfast was excellent. From the terrace, there was a nice view on the valley. The staff was utmost friendly and tried to help you in every moment.
Cons: The location is really a problem. There is no possibility to walk unless you use the road with heavy traffic , the hotel is quite far from other restaurants, shops etc. Nothing could be reached just by walking. You have to drive all time, which is quite exhausting ( narrow roads with thousands curves) . The distance to the port , indicated by booking.com, is totally wrong. The staff should improve English language, the conversation is limited on basic matters, only.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a warm welcome when we arrived, nothing was too much trouble . Lovely friendly family. Everything was so clean
Cons: Nothing!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This delightful B & B clearly benefits from being a longstanding family business. Everything runs like clockwork, led by the seemingly ageless & indefatiguable Theresa (the real Mother Theresa, in our opinion!) But without exception all the family chip-in with good & friendly personal service. Very commendable. (The restaurant facility is a definite bonus.)
Cons: Without a car reliance on the local SITA bus service is necessary ... and this can be sl. problematic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room and Location
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean, big, modern rooms. Nice terrace to have a meal. Only 30 min to Sorento. AC very functional. Free parking and have an elevator.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was gorgeous
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and quiet location Nice terace ( annex room) with great view of Capri and Ischia Islands Big rooms
Cons: The access by foot at night was on a road that hadn’t good lighting
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful stay! Views are breathtaking. We stayed in the annex, a place I will never forget.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Carmen and Mariana were absolutely helpful and nice
Cons: N/A
7.5 Good
Pros: Rooms were extremely basic but for the price we paid it was acceptable. The pictures on booking.com were not comparable to the actual room we received. The terrace deck was spectacular however very budget accommodation. Breakfast was ordinary. Would I stay there again - for the price offered, probably.
Cons: Breakfast, no view, driveway into the property was terrible when riding a motorbike.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The Breakfast could have been more diversified.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location and beautiful views. Breakfast ok, but could use more fruit and healthy options.
Cons: Unfortunately, when we arrived at 8pm at night, tired from traveling, we arrived to a dirty room and bathroom. There was hair and dirt everywhere. They had to send room service up at 9pm to clean for us. Room service was very friendly and apologetic and did an excellent job, however, the front desk did not seem sorry at all. To make matters even worse, there was a wedding on the property playing VERY loud music. They told us as we were checking in that we wouldn’t be able to hear the music from our room...well they were very wrong. The music was VERY loud until midnight and then it was quieter (but still very loud) until well after midnight. Both by wife and I couldn’t fall asleep until 2am. We paid almost €170 for a dirty room with blaring music. Miserable. And to top it off, our mattress was hard as rock with small metal or plastic bits in the mattress itself, that hurt if you rubbed your leg or arm the wrong way. A mattress pad is a must for anyone to feel comfortable. Very unhappy with our stay. The hotel did pay for our €30 taxi to Sorrento, however, I still don’t feel that justifies anything we had to deal with. But, they did not offer ANYTHING when we checked out and told them our complaints - we had to ask if there was anything they could do for us and the women at the front desk seemed very hesitant. Paying for the taxi was my idea. If I did not give that option, they would have done nothing. Top three worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had, and we stay in 20+ hotels a year.
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast and room apart from gnats
Cons: Our room was infested with gnats and we had to go around killing them but still woke up bitten to hell they were hiding in light fittings on walls and you really need a car as there are no buses
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was fabulous
Cons: The property was amazing the staff was amazing. Carmen was great to us! Showed us were to go and were to eat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location ,beautiful view to Capri island with olive trees all around .Great room with a view to Sorento and very clean !We loved it and enjoyed our time there !!
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Hotel & Spa Bellavista Francischiello in Massa Lubrense, you'll be on the waterfront, a 3-minute drive from Gulf of Naples and 8 minutes from Piazza Tasso. Featured amenities include a computer station, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This was an excellent hotel for our stay in the Amalfi coast area. The room and view were spectacular. I highly recommend going with the suite with the terrace. Though out of Sorrento, the bus ride in was easy and short with pick up and drop off right at the front door. The pool and terraces were spectacular with views of Carpi and exceptional sunsets.
Cons: Being out of town meant only one restaurant that was safe to walk to at night. Thought the suite was the best choice, you do need to take your luggage up and down several stair cases which may be an issue when your back is out. They were very helpful though in helping.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Views from the rooftop pool of Capri were spectacular! Bathroom shower was extremely small.
Cons: Views
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole experience of staying here was excellent, It made my birthday week. A fantastic location with amazing views friendly staff, very helpful, very clean and all round great place to stay, I will be returning.
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Pool and terrace were excellent great view of Capri and sunsets
Cons: Nothing to complain about
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was nice, view was amazing, staff was very patient and helpful.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Liked the view and the location which was perfect to go to Sorrento as well as Amalfi coast. Parking was very easy and free in the hotel premises. Room was nice with good space.
Cons: Breakfast was very basic and could be improved for the price they charge the room.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel offers a beautiful view but the road it is on is very busy and sleeping is a challenge if you are a light sleeper like me.
Cons: Food was ok - wine choice by the staff was great. Overall staff was great
5.0 Okay
Cons: the room and bathroom were quite old and also the room had smell.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I can simply not fault this hotel: the location, the staff, food (dinner) and overall service has been excellent. Grazie mille !!
Cons: Breakfast selection could be better.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great view, great interior spa, great room.
Cons: Hallways could be better managed, the water in the swimming pool was not heated. On day 1 out of 3 the noise level was high as there was an event taking place inside the hotel. Swimming pool and spa will close at 8pm - which is early if you’re out and about. This location is a 13 min drive from Sorrento. Also, breakfast was just ok for the value.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location. The bus stop was right jn front which made it easy to get to Sorrento, about a 10 min ride. The staff was also accommodating as we were able to leave our car there overnight while we spent one night on Capri.
Cons: No wi-fi access whatsoever during our 3 days stay.
5.7 Okay
Pros: Our stay @Hotel & Spa Bellavista Francischiello was great, the night shift staff are very very helpful.
Cons: Although there's a bus stop in front of hotel but the bus fare is a bit costly Euro2.40 for 75mins. ride. We stayed for 4 nights from 23-27 Oct. it was a bit wet and we didn't have own transportation so it was a bit inconvenience. Extra charge of Euro10 for @sauna and steam is a bit too much.
3.7 Mediocre
Pros: resturant staff very friendly, and food very good, views from windows excellent, easy to book spa treatments.
Cons: Bedroom roof leaked!! when it rained : bathroom shower mouldy : Spa facilities i.e. Sauna/steamroom not included in price.
6.7 Good
Pros: The breakfast was very good each morning. We had dinner one evening and it was top class. The room was cleaned each day. The staff were very helpful and accommodating.
Cons: Due to the Hotel being about 12mins from Sorrento we were reliant on buses. In the morning they were fairly frequent, however, at night time they only ran every hour. Due to this fact, when we left the Hotel in the morning we did'nt return until the night-time. We found this difficult as we would have loved to have changed, showered etc before going out at night. This was a major downside of our stay.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location provided an incredible view. A bus stop is located directly in front of the hotel and a quick ride, places you right in Sorrento. The spa facilities, especially the indoor pool were fabulous.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, nice view and outstanding customer’s service
Cons: Nothing really
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly! The view from the room was amazing and the shuttle that went from the hotel to the main city was a HUGE help.
Cons: The breakfast wasn't great. Eggs were very watery and there weren't many options, however, breakfast is not a usual thing in Italy so I am not sure if that explains it. I did not like how far it was from the city. Late night cabs were very expensive if you wanted to stay out later than the shuttle.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location close to sant'agata and plenty of free shuttles down into to Sorrento centre
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location, close to Sant’Agata, friendly and helpful staff
Cons: People smoking by the pool
7.9 Good
Pros: On arrival staff gave us a warm welcome. It’s family owned quite old fashioned but tidy and clean. Our requests for quiet rooms on top floor away from pool noise had been noted. The views were amazing across the bay from our balcony. Pool was small but enough for our use but not when lots children are in the hotel.
Cons: We got very bored of daily breakfast - tinned fruit cocktail )fresh would have been better), granola cereal, yoghurt, frankfurter sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, boiled, salami cheese, pastries, bread, rolls. More salad items like tomatoes, cucumber salad leaves and more child cereals, pancakes etc. The location is a 15 min shuttle ride to Sorrento town. We found the fixed times esp 6pm then next is 7.30pm was restricting either too early or too late. Taxis are expensive to use. Warning on trips organised outside of the hotel “light lunch” was a horrible white soft roll with cheese/tomato. Take your own food with you on the Capri island trip. The sun starts to go off the pool at 4.30/5 so be careful where you choose to sit. The area on the right of the steps keeps in the sun until 5. The pool is quite small but enough for a short swim/cool off but not when lots of young children take over the pool! Very noisy.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Best location we could get, nice and quite. We had such a nice view of Vesuvius from our room, and the bus stop is just in front of the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I have travelled to Italy many times and lived there total of 7 years. This is by far the best hotel I have stayed in. Fantastic views of the bay and Vesuvious. Convenient shuttle to Sorrento. Excursions to local sites with hotel pickup. Avoid the crowds and noise of Sorrento. Tranquil. Great food and bar services. Friendly staff. This is the place to stay for Sorrento and Amalfi coast vacation. Get a room with a sea view on the 5th floor and balcony.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: location great -St Agata is a lovely village , v close by with good restaurants, and the views are great with a lovely breeze. Breakfast for myself was a little underwhelming- I need to eat GF and the GF offering was a small packet of cornflakes, a slice of white GF bread and some GF biscuits. Luckily I brought my own muesli and bread, and there was plenty of fruit and yoghurt. Real decaff coffee would have been nice , rather than the instant sachets. Our room was lovely. Balcony good, great views again, Very helpful reception staff at all hours. Lunch by the pool- menu good and drinks- again friendly service. Lovely music (acoustic, live, un amplified) some evenings in restaurant. We hired a car to get from the airport and didn't use it all week!! (free parking at hotel). A transfer would have been better as with the road closures, the tendency for the Sat Nav to cut out at vital moments, and also sat nav trying to get us into hotel along the back pathway.... it would have been less stress to be picked up.
Cons: The pool is just above quite a busy main road, though sheltered by some hedges. Quite noisy. The minibus to the centre of Sorrento did have some gaps in the timetable, but with some questioning of the reception staff, we found there were very cheap local buses to get back to the hotel-you just need to keep a very close eye on when to get off!!
7.9 Good
Pros: The room has a wonderfull view over the Sorrento gulf
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, if a bit limited choice. Location is the real gem, 15 min drive out of the busy Sorrento but connected by the hotels frequent free shuttle service. Means hotel is in a relaxing spot compared to the town, and Sant Agata village is ten minute walk away which has many nice bars and restaurants. Da Mimi is is lovely local restaurant we visited several times.
Cons: Quiet bar area especially at night, not many hotel guests would be staying up dispite being fully booked. Lack of entertainment provided.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We reached villaggio syrenuse on Saturday afternoon. Not only was the place in an amazing location (you can see the pictures here), but it was very clean and the amenities were perfect. The highlight of this place was Dario, the owner. I have visited over ten countries in Europe in the past year and I have not seen a better host or a nicer person than Dario in all my travels. He helped us make our plans, suggested day trips to Amalfi, Positano and Capri and made our getting around the place incredibly easy. It felt like we were staying with our family and that says a lot about Dario, Gloria and Hugo and Sylvester! :) I cannot recommend the stay here enough. Next time I'm not going anywhere else, just go straight to villaggio syrenuse and then back home!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, beautiful location! Torniamo!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The view was lovely from our cabin, the shuttle service was excellent. All the people was very friendly and helpful. The private beach is also beautiful and lovely to visit.
Cons: The cabins did not have a kettle. My parents cabin's outside/patio area was surrounded by plants which obstructs the view from the bay. They did not have warm water despite running the water for a long time.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was nice: Nice coffee, freshly baked croissants, and some yogurt and muesli, and juice. They even had plant-based milk. The bungalow had air conditioning and a small kitchen, and everything was very clean. Not luxurious but comfortable, clean and also very friendly staff that look after us all the time making us feel very welcome. We also had the best panoramic view of the Amalfi coast and a terrace with 2 deckchairs looking at the Mediterranean.
Cons: The only suggestion I can make is a bit of fresh fruit for breakfast would have made it perfect.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast poor, all plastic plates etc.. why have plastic plates and cutlery.. ?
Cons: Plastic plates and cutlery, no shop nearby that was accessible by foot, had to drive.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The view was amazing
Cons: Arrived late at night was quite hard to find
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice owner and staff, made us feel at home!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Darrio was great help. Speaks English well and very friendly to give tips and guides. The view from the Village is amazing. It is like a paradise. Staff was nice and friendly. Amazing cottages well furnished. You can BBQ and cook as well.
Cons: Great place
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Dario is awesome owner/manager. They run a shuttle service to the town and the beach.
6.3 Good
Pros: The terrace was great! Wonderful sea and mountains view and a lot of space. Friendly personnel.
Cons: Wi-fi was very poor, not working most of the time at all. Breakfast is just coffee/tea/juice and croissants (some days, if you are lucky you can get a yoghurt). The distances to beaches mentioned are not walking ones! In fact you have to walk rather long up/down the mountain or drive to Recommone Beach, and as there were loads of jellyfish there, we have to drive to Marina del Cantone Beach and pay for parking each time. The nearest supermarket is 7 km. No kettle or even cups for tea in the bungalow. No glasses for vine, no salad bowl. A shower is a challenge also.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and staff. Lovely place all round.
Cons: All double beds in Italy seem to have a gap in the middle between two single mistresses pushed together. Uncomfortable to sleep in the gap!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lo Scoglio is located on a beautiful beach. The room we stayed in had a huge sunny terrace overlooking the ocean. The restaurant was outstanding, with fresh seafood and homemade pastas. Lo Scoglio is run by a family and it shows in the warmth of the staff. The breakfast has great variety, including excellent pastries and fresh fruit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Property was very nice. Restaurant delicious. Loved the fresh vegetables from their own farm, pasta superb.
Cons: Not at all their fault but we were expecting a little town where you could do a little shopping and a little more to do. We are also used to sandy beaches so the rock beach was not what we were expecting. but again none of that their fault, I should have done a little more research. If you want total peaceful, beautiful amd quiet with fabulous food, this is the place. There was also a ferry that you could take to Capri and Sorrento/Positano but we were not there long enough
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and views were amazing. The room was relatively small and basic but the huge balcony and incredible seaside view made up for it. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Wi-Fi worked well

Pros: Breakfast dinner all amazing. Wine local and top class. Service always exceptional. Cleanest rooms ever..... Attention to details amazing. I have never seen housekeeping or Kitchen staff clean so diligently. Just perfect.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The family who owns the hotel is wonderful. The hotel was very very clean. The room was comfortable. The air conditioning worked very well. The breakfast was good. I would highly recommend this hotel if Massa is the place you want to be.
Cons: Nothing.
7.1 Good
Pros: Hotel is decent & spacious , Massa Lubernese- the location of hotel is far away from main city of Sorrento. If the pocket allows, I would suggest everyone to stay in Sorrento. 20mins away from main Sorrento area by car. Public transport connectivity is good but closes around 9pm. Rooms are spacious, traditional design, bathroom is decently spacious. Buffet Breakfast is decent. Restaurant is good. Overall good experience 3.5 out of 5 (Only drawback is distance from Sorrento & public transport closes early from Sorrento )
Cons: Distance from Sorrento is the only drawback of the location of hotel but if you have car, good option to stay economical
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staying in Massa Lubrense which is about a 15 minute bus ride from Sorrento was a nice experience to stay away from some of the chaos of the shops and all the tourism there. The hotel staff was so attentive and personable that we enjoyed having dinner at the hotel's restaurant every night. The hotel has a great breakfast, all homemade and good options. The views from the hotel are beautiful and breathtaking... would highly recommend :) It's also easy to connect from the hotel to Sorrento where you can take trains or buses to all the different locations in the South like Pompeii, Capri, Amalfi coast.
Cons: Nothing, everything was good :)

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Located on a nice beach Fairly quiet apart from bulldozer flattening beach several evenings while we were having dinner in the beachside restaurants
Cons: Rooms fairly basic although very clean Scratchy towels Restaurant disappointing considering prices. Spent 3 weeks in Italy and the meal was the most expensive. My husbands Fish was over cooked and burnt in places and the side order of vegetables was cold - purposely so but not stated on menu that this was the case. Quite unappetising. Breakfast was fairly basic compared to others we had on the holiday.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: The staff weren't friendly or welcoming but seemed rather sullen
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This is a quiet outpost amid Amalfi coast's overall tourist buzz. A secluded location with excellent rooms and some of the best beaches in close vicinity. Something that is becoming a rarity in Italy.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location on the beach. Lovely owners and staff. Private parking possible. Very, very good restaurant with fresh homemade Italian specialties. Relaxed and easy going atmosphere.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant location, friendly staff, splendid restaurant.

Cons: Nothing at all
7.5 Good
Pros: The family that runs this hotel was great! Very helpful and accomodating during our stay! The food in the restaurant was very good! The hotel overlooks the ocean and has a great view, a beautiful beach and a dock where you can rent boats. I would stay there again, definitely!
Cons: The bunk beds were too short for the size of a 14 year old... we had to move the mattress onto the floor.

Cons: The size of the bedrooms were quite small for two people both with suitcases.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Breakfast
7.1 Good
Pros: Location and views are excellent. Staff helpful... Once transport is resolved access to Sorrento and the surrounding area is good but it takes time to figure both hotel and public transport out.
Cons: Noise levels from neighbouring rooms...Scraping chairs on tiled floors Limited deck chair space around the pool and in the sunshine
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This property is approx 15 mins drive from Sorrento. The hotel is spacious with a lovely terrace with sea views. Using a Taxi is expensive to reach it at €50 but the SITA public service bus to Sant Agatha leaves from outside the train station at a cost of approx €2 right to the hotel entrance (get you ticket from the bar around the corner before boarding). The bus operates a shuttle bus at set times with a charge on the limited night time run.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location - Room - Staff - local transport availability on doorstep - views
Cons: Nothing to dislike
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is great with amazing views.....Not too far from Sorrento Centre , maybe 15-20 mins depending on traffic :) And the village behind the hotel is great, lively with a few good eating options.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Great location with a few restaurants within walking distance. Very friendly staff.
Cons: The rooms are not cleaned properly. The hotel allows people to reserve sun loungers early in the morning and then go out for most of the day- they need staff to police the pool area and remove towels placed on sun loungers and not being used. Breakfast was disappointing as the scrambled eggs were made from some sort of powder and not real eggs. The coffee we found out was made from chicory- it was disgusting.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location and the view!
Cons: Shuttle was only available certain hours. It would have been great if it was more frequent.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location, comfy bed, good shower
Cons: Breakfast was really poor for the level of hotel it claims to be.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Views from the balcony, staff were excellent. Free parking is great (wouldn’t drive again as it’s mental, being very nice!). Poor is great and the breakfast included is too. It’s also very close to the main town with restaurants on.

Pros: Location was beautiful, it was like being on a scene from mamma Mia The meals in the restaurant were fantastic and the staff very friendly
Cons: Only that our room had no balcony
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from our room was amazing. The stuff was very helpful. Totaly recommend this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! It’s a great place to stay and the small and secluded feel of the town makes you feel very special.
7.1 Good
Pros: Hotel restaurant was good with seaside view. Also private beach is 10m from hotel and in low season guests have free sunchair. Sorento is near.
Cons: Room was in anex building with odd access. Parking is about 50m from hotel on dusty path, so it was not easy to bring luggage in. Also be aware if you are coming by car, since it is a private road and navigation does not recognise it.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location and restaurant offer for hotel guests.
Cons: Difficult to find. Little bit obsolete interior.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It was very professional and the staff helped out any time they could from getting to Sorrento city centre or to the station, they provide a small but nice selection of breakfast and a discounted dinner with the restaurant next door, the shuttle service was amazing nice and quick and good range of time for pick up and drop off. Lovely beaches and a great place for couples or families with children!! Amazing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room and our private terrace were great. The location on the beach was amazing. We loved it.
Cons: Nothing really. The staff could have been a little more proactive but that is it.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing views from the balcony and patio area. Very quiet and peaceful location.
Cons: Would have liked a kettle in the room...
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was lovely. Reception staff were very helpful
Cons: Remote location with a mahoosive mountain to climb to get to the main road at the top. A shuttle bus is provided and needed.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Charming location with a reserved beach. We have got a "see-view" suit and the view was, in fact, overwhelming. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Last but not least, private parking lot keeps peace of mind.
Cons: Even though the piece of a beach seemed to be reserved for the hotel, we were told by one of the employees that loungers in first couple of rows were unavailable for us, since they had been booked by other people for the whole summer. Which looks somewhat fishy and I doubt administration of the hotel is acknowledged of that. We didn't bother, though, as we were swimming the most of the time.
2.8 Mediocre
Pros: Proximity to the beach (but beach was too packed) Cappuccino was good.
Cons: The beds were horrible. Practically broken. Blood on the sheets too. It sounded like there was a stampede of kids all night and morning. Couldn't sleep. No more Chocolate croissant in the morning (not much else without that) We were on the beach but for some reason we couldn't get chairs without paying for them, even though we paid a lot for the room. And then they oblige us to install ourselves far away.
