Very sweet that they got up early to make breakfast for us specifically!
Riad Mounir is a charming, quiet hotel where you can find lots of peaceful spaces to relax after the whole day of exploring Marrakesh. We liked it so much that after getting back from our trip to Casablanca we decided to book at the same Riad again. We also used their tour services and we were happy about our choice. It's maintained in a Moroccan style so you should expect a bit different experience than a standard, European hotel - no fridge, no tv, etc... The rooms are dark and the windows often pointing to the inner yard. We arrived in March when temperatures weren't as high as in the summer months, that's why we asked for the other room with a window to the street and more daily light. The staff was helpful and changed without any fuss. The room's facilities are not the newest but everything was clean and properly maintained. Our room was cleaned during our stay. We also enjoyed the sunny terrace and tasty breakfast (local style - crepes, jams, honey, eggs) with delicious cardamon coffee. We love the staff working in the hotel - Admed (I am really sorry if I misspell your name!) took care of us during the first 3 days in the Riad. He was always friendly, helpful and professional. Abdessamed helped us with our tour when we came back after Casablanca. He carefully explained to us the timeline and also helped us when we get troubles during the trip. Excellent service! I really could only wish that every hotel has hosts like people working there!
The location is not ideal. It's quite far away from the main tourist attractions and some streets might seem to be unwelcoming or just intimidating for some guests. On the other hand, you have a chance to see the less touristy and more authentic part of the medina. People living there are friendly and they seem to approach you just because you are interesting for them not because they have bad intentions. We enjoyed that but mind that if you would rather have easy access to the best sights. Fresh fruits for the breakfast would be awesome but I noticed that it's not a common thing in Morrocan hotels.
In this riad you feel exactly like home, the manager and the receptionist are their to help with everything you need from information or taking care of your trip's, the food was the best we eat in their, I cannot wait to be there again
The perfect place for anyone
Everything was good
Big room and big bathroom. Everyday they cleaned the room and the breakfast was traditional and had a variety. We had a welcome tea and biscuits :)
It was a bit further away from Médina than expected.
