Abdel was especially helpful with all our questions and had excellent recommendations, the riad superb with inhouse birds greeting us in the morning , location perfect and close to beautiful Bahia palace and souqs!
The hotel location was perfect close to all attractions. Riad Amiris is stunning . The rooms were cleaned and beds were made fresh every day. We had a very warm welcome and check in was super easy. All staff at the Riad were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. We were given a map and shown places to visit, the best times to go and also the places to eat. We were even given a free dry cleaning service. Breakfast was freshly prepared every morning. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again when we next visit.
Everything was perfect. Can't really fault the hotel or the staff. The breakfast was simple so dont go expecting something lavish.
The staff was excellent. They guide my friend and I through the city and assure we get to our tour meeting point. Also they recommended places to go to eat. At night they prepared a delicious dinner.
Host - Mohsin was always there to help. Very nice guys Location . Very close to the main attractions..
A/C can be better
The location of the riad was good if you like to be close to the markets and main square but the area was very rough, however. The chef Marcien was very polite, friendly and helpful.
where to start? The man running the Riad- was polite at first but before even checking in was trying to sell excursions and day trips and was not happy if you want to have a think about it or not too sure about the activity. On every occasion or time we would bump into him he was trying to either send you to a friends pharmacy or other business such as the spice market and would not stop when you said that you didn't want too. He basically told us that we were having dinner at the Riad like it was already booked even when we suggested that we would prefer to go out for dinner- but he insisted because the Riad was "the best place to eat Tajine and everywhere else is expensive" which we later found out was no true. in the end, he charged us £30 for one salad and one Tagine each (most high-end restaurants in Marrakesh do not even charge that much and the quality of food is much better, so we are glad that we refused dinner and breakfast for the rest of the stay because the bill would have been extortionate). when it came to the time of check out he was very rude and made us feel uncomfortable as he was not happy that we didn't have more dinners or excursions. At this point, he stormed out of the Riad with a riad voice talking Morrocan to his colleague without saying thank you or goodbye and pushed me out of the way. Basically, this man wants to just make money from you. The room- the air conditioning did not work as it was just blowing around warm air in a room with no windows, the place was infested with hundreds of ants crawling over you while asleep, the shower was broken and coming off the wall, the bathroom is dingy, humid and horrible. Overall : our stay was ruined by feeling uncomfortable due to the constant pressure to buy something and the fact that his Riad is extremely overpriced for what you get. I would not recommend Riad Amiris to anyone.
