Pros:Clean, nice and quiet area.

Pros:People at the front desk made the difference upon checking. Incredibly dedicated to make the client comfortable and well pampered. Excellent location.

Cons:They had a fire alarm test but did not let us know so we paniced for nothing.
Pros:Individual members of staff were lovelies. The pool boy, bar staff and the night reception staff. It close to the shops and has good access to pretty much everywhere. On the surface it is very beautiful.
Cons:Shower dripped constantly. The ac worked sometimes. Arrived with a child and 4 pieces of luggage not one person greeted or helped us down the steps into the foyer although there were at least 6 bell boys standing there. They seem to assume their customer want to steal from them. It's very strange. The pool is tiny and sunbeds are scarce. Apart from the one you can pay 100 euros to have all day. On the last day we decovered an infestation of red ants. Generally spent as little time in the hotel as possible.
Pros:The hotel is walking distance from parque el buen retiro, and has metro stops for two different lines and the airport shuttle within two blocks. The rooms are ample and clean, but my favorite feature of hotel was a handheld city guide (converted Google phone) that was programmed with suggestions for activities, and info about tourist attractions in city. I live in the USA so my phone would have been roaming and expensive to use. The city guide allowed me to navigate the city, and look up information as I walked around. It was extremely helpful.
Cons:The hotel has closed it's entrance that accesses the sidewalk directly and I had to walk in and out of hotel through car tunnel, which felt a bit dicey as the sidewalk in the tunnel is very narrow.
Pros:- Amazing Breakfast with variety of fresh juices (my booking was not included with breakfast, but 9 Euro is not at all expensive for such a fabulous breakfast. and for child it was free. - kids play area in the lobby - my eight year old daughter enjoyed there a lot, and I have seen several kids happily playing (I seldom see such arrangement anywhere else) - excellent design make a luxury feeling - Bed and pillow was so comfortable and soft (one of the main component I looked when booking) - so met the expectation - enough space inside the room (though not a lot) - helping and smiling staff
Cons:- Though toilet was neat and beautiful, shower area was not properly covered which made the shower water brings out of the designated place and made the entire toilet wet (they could make the proper coverage for the shower area) - waste bin in the toilet was damaged and had to use hand to open it ( it could be in my room only, unfortunately) - main door was not properly closing (could be my room issue only, unfortunately) - Location wasn't great as its far from city center - if you wish to walk daily to the centre or attraction this is not the place. you will have to rely taxi or metro. But if you go to airport, then you save a lot of time (though money is same from wherever you go to airport) as its end of the city.
Pros:Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel lobby is very nice and the breakfast for €9 was ok. But can find better places to eat just out side. It’s in a very good neiborhood.

Cons:Convencion Hotel is not more than a old style business hotel but......if an Hotel is made up especially for business .....how come WIFI SUCKS SO MUCH!??? They told me that for a "premium" connection I would need to pay 4 Euro a day. I did and my connection "upgraded" to 3mb/s.....are you f..ing killing me??? Leave this hotel for few more year until they will understand what is a "business" Hotel...Forgot about the garage....it is a mouse trap not a garage! Leave this Hotel for few more years until they will understand what does it mean being a Business Hotel. There are other Hotel around (Regina) at half a price and double value that this!!
