Location Nice fridge.
The musty smell was unbearable!! Had to swat a few flies and spiders. The carpet turned my socks black. There were holes in the drapes. Unfriendly staff - Seems like they hated being there. After returning from the island we were tired and didn't want to deal with finding another place to stay. We payed in advance thru Kayak for two nights and ended up leaving the next morning and checked into a hotel across the bridge in St. Ignace which was about the same vintage but was very clean and had friendly helpful staff. Tried to get my money refunded for the unused day but couldn't find any staff so just left the key in the office key basket. I can't believe Kayak would even suggest this place. Next time I will always read the reviews before booking a hotel. Live and learn.
good location--convenient to highway and downtown
The housekeeping was terrible--potato chips left on a chair and nightstand, hand prints on the mirror, someone else's empty water bottle left behind the refrigerator (in plain sight), and we had to ask for more toilet paper, cups, and coffee packets when none were left by the housekeepers. It was obvious that they just didn't care.
