The host here is very very nice. Since I couldn't make the breakfast the next day he packed me a lunch to go. Hot shower was great and he kept my luggage while I went to Machu PIcchu no problem.
Location was perfect. Agua Caliente is small anyway, but Don Andre is off from the real touristy area. Which we liked. Julio upgraded us to a private room because everything else was booked when we arrived- again, that was perfect for us. He stored our backpacks for the day after we checked out so we didn't have to take them to Macchu Pichu. Again, a very nice touch.
Good location, easy to find. Comfortable beds and hot showers. The woman who runs the hotel doesn’t speak any English (but I don’t speak Spanish so that’s my own fault!) but she is incredibly helpful and kind - we got caught in a huge downpour and she dried our clothes and shoes for us and later that day brought us a packed breakfast ahead of our very early Machu Picchu visit.
Very close to train station
A little Too noisy at night
Hot water, ok wifi, friendly staff
Almost no breakfast, property close to train station but far from entrance to town (we hiked up), mouldy smell in room
With a stay at Don Andre in Machu Picchu, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Aguas Calientes Hot Springs and Cerro Machupicchu.
