Helpful and friendly staff! Good location very close to the sea. Guests safety first
AC is good and the place is clean
When we arrived, they didn't check us in right away. As I was sitting in the lobby, I saw a guy got out of the room they gave us with a bug spray. So as soon as we entered, we were welcomed by a very strong smell of insecticide. It was terrible so we decided to sit outside of the hotel where they have chairs and tables. We ordered dinner at 8 PM, food arrived at 9:10 PM. We asked to be woken up at 6 am so we could take the breakfast we paid for and be on time for the 7:30 AM ferry the following day. We woke up at 7:18 AM. Imagine the horror! When we woke up, no one is at the reception, we only saw a guy in uniform sleeping at one of the couches in the common area. We almost missed the ferry, didn't take a bath, and we wasted our money on the "paid" breakfast. I wasn't able to check out properly and only had to leave the keys at the desk. Staff could get a little more training.
The bed was comfortable
Cleanliness could have been better - there was a cockroach running around when we just arrived and were making payment at reception. In terms of the rooms, it was basic but ok. The toilet could have been better kept - there were old unfinished shampoo bottles and soap, and the toilet rolls were wet.
The staff is very polite and helpful. We needed to leave some of our luggage for about a week and despite the fact that they don't have a luggage storage room in the hotel, they kept it at the reception. Great value for the money - if you want to go to The Maldives on a budget Arora Inn is a great place to stay.
The food was not very diverse, especially for vegetarians. But I think that's the case in every hotel on the island.
Samy the hotel staff was very accommodating. The hotel also lend us flat iron and water boiler.
We stayed for 9 nights but the sheets were replaced once. Suggest to replace it every 3rd day for long term stay.
