The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very helpful. We didn't ask for much from them, however, I got the impression if I did want something, they would be able to help.
Provide more of the coffee/tea/sugar pots. Maybe a free bottle of water
Lobby stylish. Good food. Staff friendly.
Did not expect credit card to be held US$250 at check in. Thought account was settled as soon as booking was confirmed and no more fees would be required. I did not have enough US dollars in my multi-currency card and was told I could not be checked in if I didn't have the money. Wish they warned us of this practice at time of booking.
the history mixed with modern elements made this hotel truly unique and stunning. Lots of places to explore just within the lobby. Restaurant was great but kind of expensive
I did book through booking.com and paid for a deluxe king room but when I got there they tried to put me in a room with two double beds because “it’s what is available”. After some arguing we did end up getting the room I paid for despite being told there were none available originally. So the staff wasn’t the best, at least at the front desk.
Honestly, how do you not provide a parking structure for guests? You have to valet your car for $38 night, which is absolutely ridiculous. Also, the room itself was small and the shower was horrendous in size. For how much you pay per night, you would think you would get better accommodations.
Dinner and lounge were great. Room was clean and bed was super comfy, even though bed looked like a Murphy Bed.
Room was quite dark, not many lights in room at all. In bathroom, toilet and sink are crammed together in a small space.
