Pros:Strategic location. If you’re complaining about something about the Hollywood Labrea, then you should have known better, and you had no business staying there. It is a cheap no frills $100/night special deal kinda hotel, motel more accurately, no ups no extras. Do not expect customer service. Do not expect amenities. If you complain about cleanliness as the hotel rooms are basic clean your kids can play on the floor, but not eat off of them. Top floors are vacuumed carpeted bottoms are mopped hard floor. 3 days 2 rooms and I mostly stayed in my rooms during most of that time, I saw no roaches or bed bugs ever. The towels were clean but mismatched. The floors were vacuumed or mopped. My rooms were basic cleaned. The walls and floors are thin. Be careful with sexual activity and partying whether the social alcohol kind or the pnp drug kind. If I had a young family unless the kids were that inciteful to be exposed to such things, I would not bring them to this hotel to have to explain what the noise is next door above or below from moaning slamming and bumping of headboards. Don’t fool yourselves these beds get lots of use besides sleep! Please keep this in mind if you have a young family. Someone in the downstairs floor set up a sex sling to flex the second floors. I requested a room change to downstairs and it wasn’t until overnight I was able to be accomodated as I lost sleep. I didn’t even bother asking for a rebate or refund you do that at a 4 Star Hotel, not here. That’s Hollywood Hotel living. So you are warned. It’s clean. It’s basic. If you sleep lightly forget it. You sleep like a log or you’re going there to do everything else but sleep starting with a place to stash your luggage and site see, then this place is for you. It is what it is.
Cons:Customer service lacking. This is a trade off you should expect when you book at a motel like this. When you check in you see a bullet proof window at the front lobby. This is not just because of a hotel front desk armed robbery pattern being tracked by the LAPD. This is also because of disgruntled guests that frankly don’t get it. The late crew is a M/F Chinese pair that barely speak English. They’re innkeepers not proprietors so they cannot accommodate you as best as a daytime manager can. This includes late night check ins which I had a problem doing and room changes, another one day wait until a manager came on duty. Breakfast is coffee and cookies and they go fast!
