The room was clean. Breakfast was nice & breakfast lady was friendly & cheerful
Reception staff weren’t so nice. (Not all of course)The checkout is at 10.30 am which is too early compared to other hotels. Early check in costs 10 pounds/ hour which was too expensive too!
No hot water. Also, the rooms were tatty and needed a lick of paint. The TV remote control was filthy!
Bad smell in bathroom and room, window doesn't close properly so it is noisy and cold
The staff were very helpful. Although I would not have found this out if I did not have to call on them to sort out a problem The staff were very accommodating and were only too happy to open a bottle for me and to loan me a stapler. Due to the virus that is affecting the world ( and naturally tourism) I was offered to extend my stay for a greatly reduced price. Ample supply of beverages ( albeit a cheap standard) and towels
I was unable to connect to the internet. There was only "freeview" TV Breakfast was pretty grim. I had to go out and buy a breakfast upon check out. The coffee was from a machine ( horrid), The cereal was in large open containers ( could easily be contaminated or stale) , The toast was pre cooked and in a basket COLD. The croissants/ pastries were of the processed type ( horrible, I did try one, had to leave it). Full English breakfast ( or anything warm and comforting) was not available, which is incredible as it is the capital city of UK. And the " home " of the " full English". The only place I've ever stayed without warm cooked food.
Excellent location in Central London. Next to a number of restaurants. Walking distance to Victoria Station where you can hop on the tube to almost anywhere including an express train to Gatwick Airport. You come here to put your stuff down and sleep. If you are looking for a spacious place, then this isn't for you. If you are looking for a place to sleep and be able to easily get around London in a safe environment, then I definitely recommend it.
Rooms are small but it was expected.
