The location of the hotel is ideal for events taking place at O2 Shepherd's Bush being directly next door. The nearby Westfield Shopping centre is ideal for dining and shopping when there is a spare few moments, this is also in the same place as the tube station. The room was very nice for what is considered a standard double with nice furnishings. The hotel as a whole also had a luxurious feel to it with it's beautiful lobby and well decorated corridors.
Parking was a let down for the hotel itself. The reason I chose it was because it stated it had reservable parking which it did not. After emailing I found out that the parking is first come first serve and is £24 per day which is a little on the high side even for parking in London. The actual parking spaces that you have to pay for aren't even really parking spaces, more so an area where there is just about enough room to fit three cars on the side of the service entrance. I did not end up parking at the hotel, instead the shopping centre nearby which was considerably cheaper (£22 for 2.5 days) and appeared to be much more secure. It is only a short walk to the hotel as well so if you are looking at parking don't bother with attempting to park on site.
The Dorsett actually emailed me telling me my first reservation has been cancelled so to book a second one. Only for them to charge me on both once I’d completed my stay. Absolutely shocking and disgusting behaviour. Quite possibly the scummiest thing I’ve ever encountered and illegal. Will see them in court. Avoid at all costs.
That it was next to the venue that we were going to in the evening.
Having stopped here two years ago we decided to upgrade to an executive room - it was tiny & overlooked the bar. The bar staff could not understand English at all! They could not work the till so had to call the bar manager. The bathroom had black mould around some of the grouting and the door to the shower had pink & brown mould to the bottom of the door. Would have expected better t-bags & coffee. Requested more coffee and was never brought to the room!
Location perfect for what we needed. Didn't have breakfast
Need 2 pillows per person on the bed. There was a wash cloth crumpled on the floor in the bathroom. didn't know if it was clean or not.
The location is good.
Staff not really interested in “serving”. Breakfast was in the Japanese restaurant which greets you in the morning in a dark ambience. Room very small and ac/heater didn’t really worked - room was quite cold - especially the bathroom floor was like ice
