Very Average For a 5 star hotel!
the hotel has been recently renovated in all key areas such as new completely renovated rooms& bathrooms, renovated reception, lobby etc, and also has a very good and value for money Japanese restaurant. its a very good hotel for a summer get away but only if the price is right! don't pay too much for it as it will disappoint you! its NOT a luxury hotel.
THE STAFF IS RUDE: As we arrived at the hotel to check in at 12 o'clock (mid-day) we have been informed at the reception that the room will not be ready before 2pm, instead of offering us a drink or at the bar or recommending us what to do until then, as is the case in hotels like the Four Seasons next door... the receptionist just said that we can do anything we like until then.... so around 12:30 we visited akakiko to have an early lunch as we had to wait, we entered the restaurant as it seemed open and no one was there even though the doors were open and there was also an offer in the entrance for a 3 course meal. when we realized that something was wrong, we asked at the reception if its closed and if so why is there an offer on the entrance and an open door, and the response we received was" we are closed just for today so we just left it as t is''.

Nothing to dislike
the private beach
The outside area is very pleasant although the beach could be cleaner.
The staff were not consistent, some were excellent, others could barely speak English and had no understanding of basic service requirements. A particularly annoying occurrence was the fact that certain people reserved sunbeds in the middle of the night so even at 7am there were hardly any left. I went down early to swim on two occasions and we even spotted a pool attendant putting out towels on behalf of someone else before towels were available. Sad but true!
