Incredibly convenient location walking distance to the town of Lake George and food, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, great price and very comfortable, functioning air conditioning unit and mini fridge, clean bathroom and comfortable sized room. Each room additionally had two (plastic) chairs out front to enjoy the weather.
Unfortunately the soda machine was not working and as a whole could have used some updating for visual appeal. Parking was at a fairly steep slope but also understandable given it's located on a mountain. Not a clear view of the lake from the motel but a short 5 minute walk will get you where you need to be.
It was close to the strip with all the stores so all we had to do was walk
The room was dirty and I won’t ever stay again
There were no meals included with our stay; the room was very clean as was the bathroom. There was a table and two chairs at the window which were perfect for sitting for a game or watching TV; The TV had great color and a nice clear picture. The Bathroom was very clean, the little window that was in the bathroom opened and had a screen in it, when the room was hot form a shower all we needed to do was open the window a tiny bit and the air cooled down and the sound from the babbling brook out in the back made us relax and feel that we truly were in the Adirondacks!! The room was quiet and comfortable. It was on the smallish side but we were quite comfortable.
There wasn't any tissues available in the room, and usually those are available, so used toilet tissue if we needed to. One thing that really irked my husband was that the drapes on the only large window were NOT lined with black-out material, so most of the night we had the lights from outside which were located in the overhang of the walkway....it was really too bright to sleep well. We kept seeing that dark pink color every time we woke up...….later in the night the outside lights went off; then we were able to rest. But room-darkening drapes certainly are needed.
The only saving grace about this place is the brooke that runs behind the hotel.
Our say was less than 3 starts that’s for sure. The first day we got to the hotel, there were stains in the sheets. We asked for new ones and were fine. As you continue to check out the small room, you’ll notice the essentials only get cleaned. The window in the bathroom is disgusting, extremely dust covered. The bathroom sink and shower takes a very long time to drain. For $50 a night my bf and I are like “okay you get what you pay for.” So we leave to explore the town. Upon our return, tired and ready to relax, we lay in the rock hard bed with stiff pillows. As we’re sleeping, we’re woken up by a very loud beep. It’s the smoke detector low battery indicator with goes off all night, we barely get any sleep. After a less than perfect first day my bf convinced me to give the place another try for our second night. He brings the smoke detector to the attention of the manger and asks for another pillow for the bed. We leave for the day and ask that room service comes in while we’re gone. After exploring Bolton, we come back to put our things in the room. Our hotel room door was WIDE OPEN!! Thinking that “maybe house keeping is just getting to our room,” my bf goes in and says there isn’t anyone in the room!!! My bf isn’t feeling well so we decide to find a bar with the football package for sunday and hang out there and call it an early night. We get back around 8, the bed is made and we’re give 2 new towels. Turn on the TV and drift to sleeps. My bf and I wake up every few hours from being uncomfortable in the bed. Since he’s sick, he tries to shower to help clear up his congestion around 5 a.m. After, he reaches for one of the new towels and finds stains and shmutts on it. Throws it on the floor and grabs the other towel which he tells me was also stained but, “not as bad as the first one.” So that morning, we checked out at 8 a.m. After trying to find a reason to stay we decide to cut our stay short and find a new hotel to finish out our LG stay.
I was not aware of a breakfast, but my grandchildren loved exploring the brook running behind the motel !
The vending machines that were located on site were empty and Out Of Order !
