I had previously spent an evening at Bogobiri whilst staying somewhere else nearby. The night was great, the music, the whole vibe felt really positive. Fast forward a couple of years, I return to Lagos and thought I'd give Bogo a try. Now, don't get me wrong, I really wanted this to be great but I am afraid that the rooms just do not live up to what I expected or wanted. The staff were very friendly and the coffee was the best I had in Nigeria, but that's about it.
The lighting in the rooms is very poor, I had to move because I couldn't see to shave. The towels are old and not that great. The rooms just have a run-down feel to them. I think it was cleanish but not always easy to tell because the lighting was so poor. The shower wasn't that clean. Such a shame that I have to write this as I so wanted the hotel to be as good as the bar. It was a great concept when it opened, but it seems to have lost sight of how to do the basics in terms of its room offering.
Nothing at all

Our guest said the place is piece of art.
The guest complained the rooms are close and didn’t feel much of privacy.
Location was good, easy reach to the main places in Ikoyi, VI etc. Room was nice, comfortable, clean and quaint. Restaurant is quite good and the area and ambiance (events, art etc.) is generally nice.
Lighting in the room felt a little dark. The water from the sink/shower did not look very clean.
I liked the artistic vibe of the place---local artists' work is everywhere, and the rooms feature some of it. I liked the exceptionally friendly front staff. It's an ideal hotel if you love art and music and you have an adventurous spirit.
There are intermittent power outages, a ubiquitous feature of Lagos life. But the hotel's generator kicks in immediately and I was never out of power for more than a minute. There's also not enough lighting in the rooms (at least mine).
With a stay at Bogobiri House in Lagos (Ikoyi), you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Bar Beach and University of Lagos. Featured amenities include limo/town car service, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
