The environment is good! Love here
The list price in booking.com is much higher than the real and original price in his own Website . It charged me a additional Adult price for my 4- year-old kid .
The location is very close to Kitaoji subway station (only a few stops/15 mins from the international conference centre) and the staff, particularly the man on reception and the man who ran weekday breakfasts, were very good. I did find Japanese breakfast very rich however, and had to take a day off! Yakuta and slippers are provided for guest use
There was no WiFi - as a foreign visitor I had to sit in the train station to use my phone or check my emails. Also, staff do not speak English at all. This is fine, but prospective guests should be aware of this. Personally I wasn’t a fan of the traditional bathroom set up. This was my own ignorance. I thought shared bathroom meant hostel-style, not multiple shower heads in one room. Compared to other places I stayed, I felt I didn’t get as much for my money. I had to make up my own bed, and the room wasn’t cleaned all week (you leave out dirty towels and bins and find clean sheets/towels when you return in the evening). I really struggled with the lack of internet, especially because I had to rearrange my travel after Typhoon Jebi.
