The hotel is close to Saiin Station and Randen Station which is really good.
Breakfast was not as good as we expected. The raw bacon and cold omelet didn't taste.
The breakfast was the best!
If you have tattoos you can’t use the free spa, not sure why and didn’t ask.
Staff members were very very friendly and helpful. Keep it up !! Will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends..
Location is great, less than a block from Hankyu line train station, and a corner with. about 10 bus routes, also 3 blocks from the Keifuku Randen Kyoto line. The usual Japanese business hotel amenities, small bar refrigerator, chair, easy chair, toiletries, etc. A small space but efficiently used and comfortably furnished. Staff were very helpful. They spoke English well and I overheard one staff member speaking passable German to a guest. Very clean and well maintained.
Like most Japanese hotels, there is a unit bath, which is a big step up (estimate 25 cm or 10 inches) and bath is also quite high-sided, something to consider for the mobility impaired. Difficult to adjust the room temperature. Again, as is often Japanese custom, there is heat from around October 1 and air conditioning (cooler) from around June 1. So, in the winter, you can make the room hotter, but you cannot really cool it down. There is no way to completely turn off the heat, and windows are locked for "security" (unless Spiderman is in the area, not really a concern). I did, during a previous stay at the Rhino, successfully request that the staff unlock my window, and was able to get a more comfortable temperature and cool down the room.
Access to the Onsen wasn't as expected as it is part of the buildings gym.
