A really cosy place, the owner is very kind and helpful. You have to leave your shoes in the designated area and there are many slippers for you to use. Hostel also provides cosmetics. You can meet a lot of people in the common room. There is a place to do your laundry, if you so desire, and the common kitchen with refrigerator is also avalible. Overall a very pleasant experience.
Great location, 6 minute walk to the main lines and a few blocks away from the market!
Everything was great, no complaints!
Jiwon went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. He gave us suggestions for what to see, what to do, and how to get there. Since we stayed dyeing the Gion Matsuri festival, he gave us lots of tips on how and where to celebrate. The hostel was very cozy, clean, and comfortable. Beds were comfortable and had locked lockers inside and outside for storage. Location was prime and within walking distance of most major destinations!
Great location. I loved the hostel deco. Being on the small side is a plus for me, gave it a cosy feel and easier to socialise, the female dorm room didn't feel cramped. Everything was clean and the beds were comfy. The hostel owner is super friendly and gave me info about the upcoming festival.
I found it strange walking through the mixed dorm to get to the female one. The aircon was pretty noisy, but I guess it is necessary to have it on high during summer to keep room temps low. However, as I was closest to it and being a light sleeper I needed earplugs to sleep.
Jiwan Who owns the hostel is on hand to give great advice about where to go. The hostel is very small in terms of numbers of people staying there and feels homely rather than like a hostel.
