Super nice hotel and very helpful staff Very nice bar
We were given a room on a high floor, so the view was great. We had a car while we were in Kochi, and found the car parking at the hotel very reasonable - only Y600 per night, and come and go as many times as you like per day for the one fee. Getting the car from the car park didn't take as long as I expected - as I had read a comment on here about the lengthy wait for the car. I don't think the wait for the car is any worse than using a conventional car park and driving round and round in circles to get out. Also, the carpark hours are 5am until midnight. All staff members both in the hotel and at the car park were friendly. The room was a good size, with cupboard space and large desk, but I'm glad I didn't take the economy room, as I feel it would have been too small for us. We didn't get an opportunity to use the onsen, as it closed at 11pm, and you had to be in by 10pm. I can't quite remember if it was open early morning or not. We had dinner in the restaurant one evening. Please only go if you can speak/read Japanese or are happy to use an app like Bixby, as there is no English menu. I can read Japanese, but my knowledge of Kanji is limited, so I had to wing it on what I could read/understand - but the selection I made was good. I had the Japanese style meal for Y3000, and my husband had udon noodles with tempura, and we had a couple of drinks - all up was around Y6000...not too bad for a fine dining/French style restaurant. The rooms were extremely quiet. We kept thinking we had the floor to ourselves, as we never heard any other guests, but each morning, the cleaning staff were making beds from other rooms - so there was obviously other guests. The bed was quite comfy - not the most comfiest we had, but it ranks high compared to other hotels we stayed at.
The onsen closed too early each night. Breakfast was expensive, so we didn't have it. There is no coin laundry near by - which was ok for us, as we had a car, but not good if you don't have a car. The bed was only a queen sized bed, which is ok, but almost everywhere else we stayed, we had quite large beds for rooms of equivalent value.
Lovely breakfast and great view over city.
Bar could have remained open longer on News Years Eve.
A bit farer from all of the attraction, but still walking distance from Kochi Castle and shopping district. Has a beautiful water front of the river, especially at night.
Hotel is neat and clean
