Private pool, and the ease of getting into town with taxis parked outside. Aircon is freezing if you want which I love. It’s in a STUNNING setting.
Our room was rather along way from breakfast and the lobby - they will send a buggy if you ring so this is not me being lazy. You cannot get a sunbed around the pool by the beach as they are always taken early and the hotel never move ‘reserved’ towels. There are other pools though.
Comfy bed. Amazing private Dip pool.
Would have loved a mirror in the main room so we didn't have to go outside to look in one!
- beautiful stylish compound - adults only, which gives it a totally other vibe - even in the rooms are not on the beach itself, it is only a 2-3minute pleasant walk
- i think the management should impose a policy that guests cannot leave their towels on the sofabeds near the pool for a long time, when they are not there. We noticed people who went of for more than 1 hour, and left a towel and a book, so nobody would take that place. Quite selfish offcourse..
Great location, easily the best property on the beach strip, down the quieter side of the beach. Great infinity pool. Adults only hotel which was perfect for a quieter vibe. Great pool set up We stayed in a private room which had a plunge pool & it was perfect. Plunge pool was great addition to chill during the day away from the main pool. Those rooms also have a separate bigger pool in the complex. Breakfast had a good selection of food. Rooms were clean & tidy & o stalk a great set up.
Upon arrival the hotel seems to have a degree of style and class to it. The reception area is well presented and we were greeted with cold towels and a drink. The outside space with the pool and shower was very nice however see comments below.
We booked a private pool room, which is sold as the ‘private villa’ area with its own private plunge pool and a shared pool one of three. Immediately, this area felt completely disconnected from the rest of the hotel and we were taken to the room on a golf buggy in the complete opposite direction to the beach. We were in room 904. The room was an ok size, I would imagine one of the smallest, seemed like it has been recently refurbished, but cheaply reusing the old furniture it would appear and keeping the Air-con which was incredibly loud. The outside space with the pool and shower was very nice, however it backed on to a relatively busy road. It was noisy, from both the traffic, and a family immediately opposite, (shame given we booked this as it was an adult only hotel). Unfortunately this completely ruined the pleasant environment of the room, and even at night it was loud. The room was also immediately adjacent to a phone mast a particular eye sore. It would appear that the hotel has merged with the ‘motel’ next door. The entrance area and restaurant can be accessed from the pool area, but it’s ‘blocked’ off and completely redundant. If you look on the website it says the hotel has two pools, it actually has three so I guess they haven’t even updated their website either. Website says drinks service, this isn’t the case at the ‘private pool’ so if you hang around this area you are miles away from the bar.. The breakfast area was tatty and rather dirty. It had problems with birds, consequently there was a lot of bird droppings, which smelt. It was tatty, and again in need of some work. The staff were pretty miserable, this was the 5th hotel we stayed in during our tour of Thailand and definitely the worse staff we came across. The breakfast was average at best too.
