Nice breakfast Nice place
The staff were so lovely and helpful! Great choice of activities and they have a house band who play every night and are great! The main dinner environment is also very beautiful. Great place to go for a couples holiday. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay here and would really recommend it.
We Stayed at parama 2 and the pool didnt work Any of the 3 days while we stayed there. The staff Said that it Will be open the next day, but nothing happen. Parama 2 was totally ghosted. No other customers than Us. Not 5 stars!!! Only positive thing to say about the place where the Island they bring you to, just a little boattrip from the hotel, and then we rented scooters and went to long Island, which was beautiful!
Sunsets were amazing. Use of the bikes for hotel staff. The little golf cart transport from Parama 1 and 2. The gym. Breakfast is good and the staff had Thai charm.
The location is remote and once there it is vastly expensive to get out. There are a limited amount of choices to eat if you didn’t want to eat at the hotel. But a few good ones if you keep walking down the road. The pool wasn’t clean and the one at Parama 2 was never clear so we never went in it. There are cheap white plastic sun loungers at Parama 2 and nice padded wooden ones at Parama 1. The pillows were like rocks and water for shower wasn’t always hot. Nowhere to hang wet things or towels. The door and the room is a bit rickety. The bikes supplied for free by the hotel were great for getting around but the brakes and gears were not good so be careful. They need a lot of maintenance and upgrade for safety. The price for everything is too much, in particular the cost of travel to other parts of the island. The awful aquarium around Parama 1 that had too many over sized fish and turtles that swim 100s of miles in a tiny space. The design is bad, the pool doesn’t look out to the sea but onto the car park and the main Parama 2 hotel which is a shame because it could be a nice pool and the water around the main hotel is dank and dirty. The general outside area around 1 is grubby and the pier looks like an after thought. I hurt my foot on a jutting our nail walking down it. There is a regular boat to a tiny Beach 4 times a day but it’s very small so I am not sure you could sit on it all day. In the whole area sea wasn’t clear like on other parts of Koh Chang so for 5 days I didn’t go in the sea. I love the sea so this was a huge shame. It’s petty remote and you get to experience a more undeveloped side of Koh Chang but I think that Parama is over priced, and definitely not a 4 star hotel. I would put it at 2 stars. It would help if the hotel could improve information about the area and more organised options to show tourist the local area such as the Mangrove swamp walk (which is great), trips to Ko Wai or long beach but it wasn’t way to find.
Beautiful resort but very far away from everything!!! I would love to stay at a 3 star hotel/resort by the beach. So we can walk out to get some foods
