Lovely old house in a park land setting. Had great communal rooms to relax in. Staff friendly.
Washing machine/drier needs some tlc.
Big kitchen and accomodating staff
Some toilet seats needs to be replaced
English receptionist was brilliant and helpful.
The kitchen was large with plenty of seating. Lack of fridge space an issue though. Overall, be prepared for low end hostel experience.
The management is milking visitors for as much as possible without putting anything into the upkeep of the facility. Even my brother, a seasoned traveller, opted out of using the shared shower at the end of the hallway. Location really isnt that great, especially if you dont have a car.
The big kitchen and the equipment in it. Cooking the big meal was the only thing we enjoyed there, and the movie selection they have was also good.
The building is very run down. Although it was a sunny day, themoment we saw it from the outside, from seeing the sign on the main road into the slip road, and seeing the building itself we felt depressed by it, seeing the room being so small, and we need to climb different sets of stairs to our room, all the way we feel this is a very depressing site. There is no upkeep of e building. It could have been a beautiful building but it felt derelict. The bathroom is tiny considering it's a shared one. The shower room is a just 4 walls enclosure and a simple shower head. I told my kids they don't need to take a shower that night as the shower facility make you feel you want to stay away from it.
