View from bedroom is fantastic. Staff coped very well with Social Distancing measures.
Did enjoy breakfast as got two pot water instead of one tea and the other hot water. I was the only person that happened to the couple in the next table got the same. Toast was barely toasted and cold.
Nothing €719 for one night with lunch and dinner with few drinks for two you expect good food and good service. Did happen
Amazing view from the room, comfortable beds, very clean bathroom, decent food for dinner - burger and fish.
It’s definitely not a 5* hotel and cannot be compared with other 5* hotels in Ireland. We stayed the first night after bi COVID reopening and they were not ready for reopening at all. We’ve chosen them because we expected the spa will be open and checked this in advance (otherwise we would have cancelled, see the screenshot) but upon arrival we were told that both spa and gym are closed. This was such a disappointment and the receptionist didn’t even try to apologise for misunderstanding (not to mention offering a drink etc etc). This is understandable but we should have been told about spa!! Absolutely misleading! Except this “measure”, they give your room cards in zip plastic bags, have some yellow HSE stickers in premises and sanitisers, and also serve breakfast in 2 seatings - all the COVID measures... Rooms were empty - you have coffee machine, but not the cups, no laundry bags, no wine glasses, no WiFi... Each time you have to ask and call the reception who are soooo reluctant to help and so indifferent, especially Seleste. Glasses in the bar were greasy with fingerprints (hello COVID!), warm white wine, dinner tables with crumbles left after the lunch (maybe very well sanitised), breakfast cappuccinos served in 25 minutes after order... They spoilt our long-awaited anniversary and first getaway after the lockdown. Would be naive to expect that somebody will try to make our stay special here. Worst ever spent €230, never guys never waste your money here...
Stunning location and lake view. Bed was very comfortable. Room was spacious and had a big balcony.
Coffee machine and iron in the room didn't work. Minibar was empty (!?) Dated furniture and cutlery in bar and restaurant. Breakfast and dinner weren't remarkable, expected way more for the "5 star" price. Staff were nice and did the best they could, but there was an obvious lack of training and/or plain lack of experience. Pool area needed maintenance.
Upgraded to a suite, amazing bed and view!
