Excellent location in the centre of Kandy, we were able to check in early after a long flight and the room was clean and comfortable. Good value for money.
We had to leave at 6am and the front door was locked (which seemed like a fire hazard), with no staff around. If you need to make arrangements to leave early, speak to staff the night before.
It’s close to all attractions
The pictures must be 20 years old because the hotel room was nothing like as on the pictures! They even asked me to pay when I just arrived and not even seen the room!!! The walls were dirty, scratches on the floor from the bed and bathroom also not so clean. The room itself was very humid. We had one morning the breakfast and it’s better when you get something outside. They didn’t renew something (e.g. cheese) and you could tell it’s simple (jam was very strong coloured). Wouldn’t recommend it although it’s very close to all attractions in Kandy.
Helpful staff. Our tour driver cancelled (booked in London and completely separate to hotel) due to Coronovirus. Norshan (sorry if I got name wrong) from the reception arranged a car for the day to take us up to tea plantation and back. Breakfast good selection. Very good location and helpful staff.
Not much to dislike.
If you wish value for money for a night stay in Kandy City to explore the history and culture. Classic and steps to local shopping.
The location of the hotel is is exactly in heart of the city. Not so fare from the main attraction Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and the lake. Many shops in the vicinity of the hotel. Good and cheap draft local beer in the restaurant of the hotel (ground floor), is not easy find the alkohol shop in the city. Breakfast - not so many choices of the food. The furniture and rooms need refreshment.
Because of the vicinity the street to the hotel, there is a little be street noise, especially early morning. Prepare for the night ear plugs if you want to sleep longer and well.
